Any interest in a USK or 4x6" Tip in athon?

I've gotten obsessed with these tip in pages:

    http://www.atcsforall.com/forum/showthread.php?t=31676

Urban sketchbook is an actual brand name of sketchbooks, but you could put these in 4x6" journals or altered books or whatever. You could use any media.

If I hosted an athon for these, would anyone want to play?

I see this was posted a long time ago but if you decide to do this please let me know. I would be interested if all mediums were welcome.

I would certainly want to. Whether I would would depend on the days it was and whether I was off.

I'd still love to do this. It would definitely be open to all mediums. Are week days or weekend days better?

Ok. I'm hoping we can do it soon so that we don't overlap the inchie-a-thon. Late May/early June is kind of busy for me.

One thing I like about this size is that I have a lot of clip art and napkin images that are too big for atcs and I don't do chunkies, so it's fun to finally use them.

I have tons of "stuff" that won't fit onto an ATC that I would to use! Count me in!

Great! Will May 11-13 work for people? Remember you can do backgrounds ahead of time.

    May 11-13 works for me!

I've always wanted to trade tip-ins, but it's hard to find other people's that are available, and my available tipins have been in amongst a ton of other types of "Mail Art: Available to trade".

Obviously during the athon, our available tipins will be in the athon gallery. But after the athon is over, I wonder if someone could start a thread and perhaps we could each create a post with links to our available tipins, then edit our own post periodically as we trade tipins & create new ones.

If we can find the right place for it. Most of the mail art threads are MMH, PIF or monthly swaps like the canvas board, so I'm not sure how we set it up, but it's worth investigating. (I didn't get enough sleep and I sound like it. Hopefully there's some sense there.)

Let's start with the 11-13. If we're having fun we could go through the 14th. I'll request the days and set up an official athon thread later.

Just put it on my calendar!

This will be my first Tip-in. Would someone let me know the size we are trading?

Is it supposed to be thick like chipboard or thin like paper?

Also are there themes people are collecting or is it artist choice?

Kind of like the APC wish lists that people have here.

The original idea is to fit an USK--which is an actual brand, urban sketchbook, but people have tipped them into their own 4x6 altered journals or homemade books or they can go in frames. So 4"x6" or slightly smaller. The blanks I use are 3.75" x 5.75".

On paper, no lighter than sketchbook paper or you can use card stock or thin chipboard. I once cut down some file folders, which I actually found at the dollar store. I love the dollar store.

I'll have optional themes or artist choice, though if people want to collect specific themes, let me know and I'll put it in the first post, kind of like APCs.

I'll get a thread up this weekend and send out PMs.

That's a great idea! I started a PIF thread, but it didn't really draw in artists. Maybe the APC wish list is a better format:

I didn't participate in the PIF because it said collage and mixed media only (not HD/HP). The three "Choose a theme" swaps art-junkie held were HD/HP so it pulled in the HD peeps. But, yes, the wish list format may be better.

I didn't want to take people away from the already running hd/hp thread, but I guess I should have considered hd/hp artists might want collage and mixed media pages. Sorry about that.
