Vancouver Canada May 11-14, maybe??

So we've talked about this at a few of the US west coast events, and a couple of people have given me a nudge lately (you know who you are).

I've found a potential hotel, and I'd like to get an idea of how many people might be interested in an ATC gathering up here in Vancouver.

They would have room for us May 11-14, 2017

Prices in Canadian $$ would be about $159/night (about $125 US) for a room with 2 double beds - free airport shuttle, wifi but no breakfast. Retreat price would be about $120/person ($93 US) to cover the cost of the art room and other incidentals. This would be at a hotel that is close to the airport, with easy access to the Skytrain (our rapid transit) that will take you to other parts of Vancouver if you want to do any exploring. The format would be similar to the other events in Phoenix, San Diego and Seattle.

So, who would be interested?

Hey smallgirl, I live in Vancouver too - well, Burnaby actually. Do you know about the Vancouver ATC Group? They meet the third Sunday of each month: noon-3 - bring your own art project to work on, 3-4 ATC trade. At the Mosaic community room just off Commercial Drive.

Oh, people often arrive on the Friday evening and stay for Saturday and Sunday.

I would love to go! I've wanted to see Vancouver for a while now. I think I'd fly into SeaTac and drive up. Check out some car ferries and islands on the way up. The scenic route..

Hello everyone, I have decided to postpone this event. This will give Helen more flexibility to schedule SeArtle. I'm still working on a few things, and it might work out that we have a fall retreat up here in Vancouver in 2017. I will keep you posted.
