JavaZarf, Your childhood memories of your ghostly friends from the past are so awesome. I also really like the surface you chose for your subjects. They look like faded pictures.

BTW, Bobby reminds me of my quirky granddaughter.

WOW what wonderful story of the children . Love the faded look you gave the card, it makes them look old. Great job.

    Got great cards from Jodi.

I am sorry but I'm going to withdraw from this swap. I have discovered that it's brought up some pretty sad memories of children I knew and well, I just can't quite bring myself to make pictures at this time.

Great cards everyone and great stories. Thank you for sharing these.

Here are my ghost children; they are based on the photograph I posted earlier. It was taken at primary school and it was a very hot day - This has been a real trip back in time to those forgotten children who were once so much a part of my life. There are five, 3 for 3 and a host card - I might keep me!
Gordon was my real best friend, I went to his house for a very odd tea of minced beef and toast; his mum was Scottish. Gordon had ginger hair and freckles and I always remember a mean teacher making him stand on a chair because he spelled something wrong and he was bright red with shame. I felt so angry and upset for him.

redplantlady, your ghost children and their stories are wonderful. I really like how you made your ATCS look like old pictures of the past. What medium(s) did you use? I like the sepia tones.

So pleased you like them! I used mainly watercolours - black, white and yellow ochre, and black ink - the yellow warmed it all up a bit

I'm working on my ghost children. I can't figure out how to use the gallery yet.
    1. Justin : my best friend in kindergarten and my first kiss, I remember him as a copper haired, freckly, blue eyed 5 year old that I wanted to be with all the time.
    2. Melissa : my best friend in grade 4. Brown eyes, brown hair, big eyes full of optimism, big smile full of sunshine. She had a heart of gold.
    3. Jenny : my best friend in high school. She always had dark circles under her eyes, a sideways smile and plans for the future.
    4. Lisa : a girl I knew between the ages of 4 and 8. Every time we played together we would get in trouble. She loved getting into mischief .
