Misc Art Foodie PAT! (Pick-a-Theme) - Due May 17th

    Swap Due Date – May 17, 2017
Swap Sign up Date - closed to new signups
Withdraw Date - None (once you choose your theme there is no changing groups, themes or withdrawing)
Number of Players - 8 groups of 5 players each

To participate, you need to have a +15 itrader, no negatives in the past 6 months, no neutrals in the past 3 months.

    The Important Basics:
    - Please measure your paper carefully and cut your sides even. I will not accept anything that's more than and eighth of an inch off the correct size.
    - Please make them sturdy.
    - If you use thick embellishments on your cards, please include a .21 stamp for each card to cover “non-machinable” to it’s new home. (please consider NOT using thick or bumpy embellishments for cards that I will have to mail internationally!! It can add a whole dollar to the postage!)
    - Originals only - no copies or prints (prints meaning duplicates of original artwork like a photocopy or scan/print - this does not exclude digital prints).
    - Please only send work you are proud of.
    - Please write on the back of each card who the card is for and group number.
    - Late cards and/or no cards may result in a neutral or negative iTrader from the hostess and each group member. (envelopes postmarked May 17th or after WILL receive a neutral iTrader from me)
*Please do not mail 2-3 days before the due date and expect them to be on time, this is inconsiderate to your fellow group players.

    Postage Requirements:

US - clearly write or type your address in black or blue (not a pastel blue...) on a mailing label or piece of paper, your address should be at least 1" x 2" - please do not send SASEs! I prefer using my own envelopes.
(no return address labels, they're too small)
1 group - .47 (forever) or .68 (recommended for collage)
*I return unneeded postage unless told otherwise.
2 groups - .68 or .89 (recommended for collage) or two forever stamps
Chunky page groups - $3 USD (I will return any extra)
I can also accept Paypal if you prefer that route. PM for Paypal details.

International - clearly write or type your address on a mailing label or piece of paper - I will provide envelopes
1 group - $1 USD or US Stamp, Paypal or your own country's postage equivalent for that weight
2 groups - $2 USD or US Stamp, Paypal or your own country's postage equivalent for that weight
    Chunky page groups -
Canada - $9.50 USD or Paypal - only for this group
All other International - $13.50 USD or Paypal - only for this group
I apologize for the high amount for international, but if people make their chunkies "chunky" I have to mail at parcel post rates and US's rates are ridiculous. IF your returns end up being thin enough to do regular mail I WILL return any extra. I don't want you to pay more than you have to.

Please PM me for my address when you are ready to mail. If you post your request for my addy in the thread, I can almost guarantee that I will not see it right away. I'm still in Dix, IL if you have my addy from a previous swap, but please let me know that you've mailed! (please do not mail to Plainfield, IN, I am no longer there!)

When you receive your returns for the swap, please remember to leave iTrader for the Host (me) so I know you're returns have arrived and iTraders for each member of your group.

    ~ Easy Theme Examples
For this PAT I'd like to keep the themes fairly easy. Think basic foods that can be easily referenced (candy, coffee, fruits) or even a little more specific (Hard candies, apples, sushi, cheese popcorn) or for the recipe cards things like (recipe's including bacon, christmas recipes, asian recipes etc)
If you're unsure of a theme, please ask me via PM.

Please choose your theme within 48 hours (2 days) of signing up or you may lose your spot

    Welcome IamWhatonearth!

Forgive me, I'm not quite clear on the difference between regular and Asian pastries. Can you elaborate? If it's something that's going to need research it doesn't qualify as an easy theme.

If you mean asian themed pastries shaped like animals (ex panda bear, koi fish, etc) that would be ok I think

I don't think it's too hard to differentiate but it's the style.

It can be something more "kawaii" like this: Link Here!

Or it can be more traditional like this: I've had fish shaped mung bean pastries at New Years celebrations before, it's not uncommon.

I think pigs are pretty common for New Years too: Pretty sure I've had a pig shaped one as a kid. Haha.

Here are crab and lobster ones: Link Here!

These New Year cakes are called mooncakes.

If my theme is too picky I will take the one you suggested.

Oh cool IamWhatonearth, I've never seen those before. I don't think that would be terribly difficult, now that I've seen the examples. But it's up to the hostess

How about we put it as Animal Pastries and they can have an option to do Asian ones? I'll add a link to your post where you explain it and have the example links.

Including links and having people have to look through them kinda bumps it up to medium or challenging. So we'll just make it optional

I'd like the last spot in group 1 if it's still available. My theme would be: anthropomorphised foods/drinks that go together. Like a glass of milk and a cookie. Or eggs and bacon. Or crackers and cheese. They should have cute faces, please. I can send a link or a pic of what I mean if it isn't clear.

welcome GwennieJo! I don't think we need a link, it's similar to theweavershand's theme only compatible combinations rather than odd combinations.

loving all the themes with this one! Hope we can drum up some more players!
