Thanks, everyone! I've learned that "officially," shamrocks have only 3 leaves and my moo house features a four-leaf clover. Oh well, it's art. It doesn't have to represent reality! lol

Sooo....is everyone getting ready for the -athon?

I already had a bunch of moo blanks cut out of watercolor paper. When I make my own envelopes, I always end up with two skinny strips of paper that are just wide enough to make moos. I also have TONS of small ephemera scraps from previous projects.

Then tonight, I went to a monthly "Art Journal Junkies Hangout" but instead of working on a journal, I took some stamped images to color and cut out. Some of them may end up on greeting cards (lots of friends' birthdays this month), but some could end up in a moo house.

    More inspiration!

I made these moo houses a few years ago for myself. The children in the houses are my grandma Gladys, her sister Verda and her brother Emory.

    Happy International Women's Day, -athoners!

Remember that Friday, the first day of the -athon, the optional theme is women.

    Lovely examples Miss Iowa.

I was just browsing moo.com and found that the official size of the minimoo is 2.75x1.10 inches which I think was mentioned on the other thread. Any moo purists out there may want this measurement when cutting cardstock. Then of course for this athon a roof would be added.

    Thank you, Rosecake.

That's right, Nightowl. If you cut a regular business card in half, it's actually 1.1 inches. But sometimes that .1 measurement confuses people, so for simplicity sake we say 1.0. Feel free to add that extra .1 if you want. I don't think anyone will notice.

I was just thinking of all of the creative ways you could do the roof instead if just having a triangle. Not that there is anything wrong with triangles. Triangles are quite lovely, but I was imagining all of the alternative roofs one could do. Getting kind of excited....kind of like this

Lol....yeah, I doubt I could if I wanted to. I can't measure that accurately. I blame my ruler and not my eyesight
