Teeny tiny pesto jars are adorbs! I made chicken piccata this week and intentionally loaded on the capers since the jar was almost empty. As I heard my hubs cleaning the kitchen (a hubs that cleans?! What the what?)...anyway, I kindly yelled out "I'm saving that lid!"

He usually doesn't question the odd stuff he sees around the counter, but I did hear him digging through the recycle bin to fetch it. Ha! One lid down! Now I need to make some Ragu tonight. And then maybe some biscuits. But no baby food for me.

Nanner, does it have to be a lid as the base? As long as it's metal and about the same size/depth, is that okay?

I'm sorry but I'm going to have to withdraw - having a bit of a family crisis and won't be able to meet my commitments for the next while. Sorry for the inconvenience!

I was also wondering along the same lines. And is there a minimum diameter?

I'll try to do this, not sure if it'll work though....Maybe I should lurk and see if it comes out decent enough to trade.

Lucky us! I usually make the dinner, but then he just started doing the dishes one day. And I wasn't going to say no!

Hmmmmn...I've hosted this swap once before, and we used a variety of metal lids. I wouldn't use anything less than an inch, just so you have some "canvas" space. Nothing bottlecap size. Hope that helps!
