Happy October peeps! One month left to go! I'm assuming everyone has their moley by now? Any updates for the players that don't have themes yet?

This is my first page for the Grimm Fairy Tales. I have created a mini zine for all to sign in on as you create your pages. It will be located in the little envelop in the back of the moley. I would like for us to go in order so the zine acts as the table of contents.

Lovely spread aaeshelman! Everyone is going to add art to your book in the order of the mailing rotation for your moley, I'm assuming that what's you meant? (i.e. people don't skip pages)

No white backgrounds. Adding light mixed media is great but not manitory. Sea wisdom or mermaid thoughts would be lovely to incorporate. Be colorful.

Aaeshelman....I think you are inspiring me. I'm doing an mermaid themed zine for another swap....I'm thinking of including extra copies with my moley, so everyone can have a little mermaid zine for themselves.
Miss m....for your moley I'm thinking of having a geisha practicing her calligraphy ( by writing haiku) and including an haiku as part of the scene.

Gah! Sorry this took me forever...

Theme: sock monkeys
Anything goes, as long as it includes a sock monkey. Sock monkey portraits, scenes, poems, stories, whatever! The sock monkeys can have other, non-sock monkey friends if you'd like.
Do's: I prefer HD/HP. I kind of like the idea of each artist doing three separate panels rather than an interconnected spread, but if you have a good idea for a spread, go for it. I love whimsical.
Don'ts: No stickers. No plain white backgrounds. Nothing political or religious (I was going to add pornographic to that, but than I tried to think of what an x-rated sock monkey might look like...). Please no sock monkey characters based on real people/ characters.

aaeshelman, I would say yes its too early to mail, unless you had a necessary reason (e.g. like you will be out of town on Nov 1st). The next player wouldn't be expected to work on it any earlier and wouldn't pass it on to the next player until Dec 1st.
