    Question APC glue

What glues do people use when doing APC and collage with odd materials?

I use Sookwang tape to attach paper and fabric to the plasticky APC backs. It made in South Korea and is acid free. I believe this tape is also called Be Creative tape in the US. It is available at Walmart online. I love it because it is strong and super sticky!

I also love UHU glue sticks for working with paper. It is a slightly higher quality acid free glue stick made in Germany.

So far I have tried Elmer's school glue and glue sticks, as well as gorilla wood glue. The school glue bubbled. The glue stick seems to work if applied thick enough. The gorilla glue is semi gloss so if I get any on the front it shows a lot. I noticed in books that some collage artists use gel medium. It's expensive so I may try it in the next 6 months, as I want to try gel mediums in my acrylic painting. I never thought to try tape and will see if I can find it. I have seen UHU glue sticks here locally and will try them as well. Some of my pieces have had smaller sections come up so I am shopping for better options and using more glue. Thanks smallgirl!

Try "YES" paste in a jar. Acid free and lasts a long time.
