Is that the kind with earthy color beads strung on cord? I love that style of jewelry. Always thought about trying my hand at it but never have.

Woo Hoo! Glad you signed up Nightowl! It sounds like you may have looked up Bohemian style or Boho Chic? I would explain this type of handmade jewelry as being freestyle, expressive and unconventional. If I were to make an amulet bag in this style I'd probably choose to make it from soft leather and decorate it with beads.

Oh I see. A different subtype of bohemian.
You sure are one crafty lady. You do such a variety of artistic media.

Nightowl_too , you're in! ...and that closes the sign up's. I will be PM'ing each of you with the name of the person you will be gifting. I will have to PM their addy's later...I'll do it Friday...It'll be my day off.
Remember, it's a surprise for the receiver to know who is gifting them, so mum's the word until they get their gift(s). When you send out your gift, add a little note letting them know who you are.
-
Okay peeps...everyone should have gotten a PM from me, telling you who your recipient is
If not...I blame it on my coffee! (Coffee now glaring at me)

Ok, I just re-read and see where it says to send you our addy. Will do that now. I haven't participated in this swap before and am really excited about it. I've already figured out what I will do, and it's nice to look forward to this activity during the January doldrums!

Hey, I just made my first domino book, for my sister. I used a colorful elastic ponytail holder for my closure. It's a bit too big. So I cut it, seamed it, and sewed a decorative button over the seam. Of course this works best if the domino covers do not include a lot of dimensional embellishments - for that I would use the ribbon closures. My dominos were just flat, painted with alcohol inks (another first for me - fun!)

I've been surfing Pinterest for my wish list ideas...I think I know what I'd like to wish for now
I'd like 3 - 5 artist blocks ...not too big...maybe the height and width of your hand. (I know, I'm so specific) ... I'd like to put it on my fireplace mantle. ...Also, I like snarky quotes...Here is a link to my Pinterest Board of Quotes.
Here are some examples that I like...they might be repeats the one's I posted earlier.

My second idea is sorta the same as the first...but it's just tiny. They are Jenga Blocks that have been arted up. I think a few of these on a book ring or simple ball chain would be nice.

Third idea is...Rolodex cards...here's some samples...

If I were to wish for anything store bought...I'd like to try a Posca pen in white...and a handful of Jenga blocks
-
Wow, you really are specific... Whoever is your partner sure has her work cut out for her
And jenga blocks smell nice...

For some reason, I completely missed that this was happening this year. I'm just going to hang around and lurk here and peek in on what you all are doing. And do remain calm during the holidays and don't go into a daze.
