The directional arrow pattern is Dutchman puzzle, the green and yellow star is Nell's star, flower is actually called pinwheel flower. The red, yellow and green is brave world. The purple/ green was supposed to be an honey bee block. Lots of fun to do.

Those names really fit well! That Dutchman’s Puzzle really looks like those wooden assemblage puzzles you see in gift shops. I love your color choices on all of them also.

I'm starting out with a template and I'm having a hard time getting a 2x3" square.
IS that the correct measurement for the square??? Before borders? I'm horrible with figuring this kind of stuff out

I found it easier to create my piece first then centre it on my ATC card, but you measurements sound good. I don't think you have to add borders, it just makes it easier if you are doing a square rather than rectangle.

Bonnie, if your doing top and bottom borders and make them each 1/2”, that leaves a 2.5 x 2.5 square in the middle. That’s just right for doing a single square. If you want to replicate a small quilt I’d make 1/8” borders all around which leaves a perfect 2x3 rectangle. I haven’t tried Ann’s method of making first and centering later, but now that I’m trying for pattern that doesn’t have peices meeting at center I’m thinking I’ll try that. Thanks Ann!
I’ll try to post a measurements pic in an hour or two, once grandson heads off to preschool. :-)

Catladybj, I finally added a template guide to the sample photos. Sorry it took me so long! I’ve been crazy busy and trying hard to get back here. Hope these help! Remember they’re just guides, and your shapes can differ if you want to. :-)

Beautiful! You should both be very proud! I've never even attempted this pattern in a real-sized fabric block - but it always looks so fascinating!

Thank you CoCi. :-) I thought it wouldn’t be MUCH harder than a pinwheel... but it really is. I’d love to repeat it in security liner... if I get my courage up! I might want to quit on a high note! ;-)

You've got to be kidding! I think that was the day before yesterday I mailed them! You just never know. I'm really glad you like them.
