Crown Fact: A CROWN is worn by an Emperor, Empress, King, or Queen; a CORONET by a Nobleman or Lady. Tiaras can be worn by anyone, notably brides, beauty queens, or prom-goers (though tiaras with real diamonds are worn by royalty, and Queen Elizabeth II has several types and styles).

Lurking for a bit, I want to see what kind of cards I can come up with. I have been away a while.
I have been out for several years with health issues but I want to get my art mojo back and what better place to start!!

Crown Fact: The precursor to the crown was the browband called the DIADEM, which had originally been worn by Persian Emperors. Gold and precious jewels are common in most royal crowns.

Crown Fact: The French Crown Jewels were sold in 1885 on the orders of the Third French Republic, held onto for historic reasons, and displayed in the Louvre. The Spanish Crown Jewels were destroyed in a major fire in the 18th Century.

It's interesting you posting the facts, I was looking into what a coronet was myself, as I had not really known the definition. I had never realised that there were so many rules governing what different royal/noble head wear could look like, or what it symbolised.....

Thank you! I am always thinking about different types of compositions that you can fit/use in the act format. I wanted to show the crown on the head, but not have the face of the person detract from the crown, so this seemed the way to go.
