I started on a couple flowers last night, while watching The Color Purple (LOVE that movie.) Interestingly, I haven't made a purple flower...yet.

Another nanner swap! but you've got me a little stumped on this one, LOL. All the ideas I'm coming up with have embellishments involved. I'm going to lurk for the time being, see if my brain will cough up some more ideas.

Question: could we expect the recipient to glue the flower together? i.e. like a tab to glue to the other side to make the flower 3D. Nothing more complicated than that, i.e. not expecting anyone to assemble and entire flower. Or I am making it too complicated?

Lurk if you must, but having Miss M join the swap is HIGHLY encouraged.

As far as having the recipient glue or assemble, let's try to avoid that. While I can imagine many of us will want to put the flower heads on stems, there may be some of us that prefer to keep them flat for display. So, as we construct these, let's make pieces that will work whether left flat and/or with petals bent to create dimension.

Having the flower heads layered and/or made with some embellishing is A-OK. We just don't want overly bulky or thick flower heads.

All: I added a picture of the side-view of the example flower I made to the bottom of the first post. You can see how I turned the petals up here and there to add dimension. This would be done "after" the returns are received. Hope this helps as you conjure your art.
