I have this clear bag that is taped and held on with magnets on the front of my craft table. I put stuff in there that I want to save and use later. They need to be put in the folders so i can find them later. I have things sorted. So I dipped my hand in there and pulled out a rubber stamp. WTH? That doesnt count. I pulled out a few things and one was a few words or quotes. I used a bunch of punched circles, leftover from the first trash to treasure swap I hosted. I coated the whole thing with Tim Holtz stuff.

The bird, I am pretty sure was a leftover from a trash to treasure. WE were sent a coffee filter, I painted it and cut out some images. The bird was a leftover. Someone sent me this cute boy.

This card is awesome. I had these 3 fun foam shapes given to me, and had no clue what to do with such an odd item. Bernie Berlin in her books has a project where you use the fun foam and cover it with gesso, and go from there. I used black gesso, and red and yellow cheap spray kids paint from Walmart. I love this paint. It is in the kids craft section. It is acrylic not some glimmer mist stuff.
Ok So I think this is going to be to hard to mail cause it needed the gems and even the the fun foam is squishy now i have added even more depth to the or clunk. But had to show it off. Someone gave me the bird image and I used it instead of filing it away

Another card and not even close to my last cards as I am sure I have more up my sleeve.
Again these are items given to me and not yet filed. The flower and silhouette seemed to go together.

This sounds like a fun idea. I don't want to overcommit, so I'm going to lurk, but I already have a little box of "unfiled" bits on my work table which would be great for dipping into...

Lovely inspiration for us all. Thank you CQ5.

I'm in. I have so many drawers and boxes and bins of little bits of "stuff" that I would love to use with some kind of goal?

Welcome and thanks for signing up kkwarth. That lurkers couch is still pretty crowded
Hopefully more people will take the plunge once they have had time for a good play.

I thought I would check in. I almost, ALMOST dipped my hand into my bag to make another card, but I had some deadlines. But will make more soon.

I'd love to play

Welcome to the lurking couch NYJunkie. Have fun playing.
Just to let everyone know that I am going to the UK from 13th to 19th, so won't be as active on the site. I will try and check in periodically, but I won't find any mail until I return on 20th, which may delay things a bit.

I'd like to sign up please (one less on the lurker's couch)!

Great nanvan. Adding you now.

Another lucky dip card
This one was a bit of a struggle, because I drew out the pumpkin. I hate halloween themes, so after resisting the temptation to draw a different item out, it became my favourite Pumpkin Soup recipe.

I was having trouble with the idea of putting items into the bag and then withdrawing some - knowing I would know the "feel" of some things, so I got my 4 year old granddaughter to reach into the bag and, without looking, pull 10 items from the bag. I had put postage stamps, a couple of 3 dimensional aphemera and several images in the bag. She only pulled out images, which was interesting. I know we're supposed to build our cards around 1 lucky dip item, but I plan to use 2 per card out of the ones she pulled and make 4 cards, which means either I won't use 2 of the items or I'll put 3 on 2 of the cards. I hope that's okay? I haven't made any cards yet - still in the stage of trying to figure out how to use the items she pulled.
