Amulet Bags Due April 26th
Swap Due Date - April 26th
Signup/Withdraw Date - none, just COMMUNICATE!
Number of bags - 3 for 3
Number of Participants - 20 full! but ask if you want on a wait list.
Amulet bags appeal to me for so many reasons. I love fabric, fibers, texture, embellishments, miniatures and magic. For this swap you will make three amulet bags. Size can vary but remember these are made to be worn as a long necklace to hold a good luck charm. I would think no larger than 2"x2" excluding embellishments/dangles. Below are some links for inspiration on Pinterest. But you're only limited by your imagination (and your stash of fabrics, fibers, charms and beads!)

Hi CiCiCreates! Isn't this exciting?! Something new. Just what I was looking for.
I have some yummy new alpaca wool given to me by my neighbor up the street. I think I'll try and wet felt my first amulet bag. Here's some ideas I found on Etsy.

Cool idea! Would you need to include the necklace part or just the bag?
I love to trade hdhp - hearts, two sleeve dolls, artist inspiration dolls, and modified kokeshi.

You could use a cord or braided fibers or something similar but yes it does have to include the necklace part.

I notice these amulet bags can go by a lot of different names and terms. Mine will probably turn out to look more like the Bohemian/Gypsy versions than Native American. I will do my very best, though, not to make them too Victorian-looking (LOL - it's where I gravitate!)

Honestly CiCi I really like the Boho/ Gypsy vibe. But a wide variety of styles would be welcome!
