Hello gals, as you know I am hosting the APC house shaped swap. I need your help. Each player can suggest a theme they would like to see. As the host, I am making each player a theme card. Ok so here is where I could use some help.

One player would like to see Tree houses. Any suggestions. I googled, and it seems that I could add stilts to a house and add some greenery. I wont be able to hand draw it, unless was very child like kingergarten crayon drawings. Which might work.

All the ideas I have other than what you said would be hand drawn. You might find an image you can use if you google Treehouse clipart. There are tons of fun images, I might have to draw some.

I like the bottom one Vicki. And your 4 cards were dropped in the mailbox today. My husband went out on his motorcycle to enjoy the day. He is worried that the days where he is going to get to old to ride are coming.

wow - i am so impressed with home builders who were able to create such awesome art at such a frenzied pace over the weekend! having suffered what i call, "art interrupted", i have finished phase 1 of my new homes -

    thumbnail_IMG_2606.jpg cabinet card #1 traded
    thumbnail_IMG_2598.jpg cabinet card #2
    thumbnail_IMG_2602.jpg cabinet card #3
    thumbnail_IMG_2597.jpg cabinet card #4 traded

    Cool.
I will list the Harry Potter Magical Hat as traded to you, along with the Ravenclaw card,
in trade for your Hagrid and Snape ATCs. (2/2 trade)
    That makes us even again.
I'll mail your cards to you next week.

    To your hubby:
My local motorcycle riding friend says one NEVER gets too old to ride.
But my friend cheats! He has three wheeled motorcycle, which is a cross between a Harley and a motorized tricycle. (He built it himself, it looks like a motorcycle, and he goes to Sturgis every year with friends who have tricycles, so I guess it is still cool.)

Yes Chatty and her husband have a great three wheeler. He has three bikes but doesn't ride very often. I rode with him early on but my knees make just getting on and off the bike, or into a bathtub with high sides very difficult.LOL He is starting to have pain with agility issues too.

Love your postage people houses, Marlies! I'm not sure what a 'cabinet card' is but love the look and feel of the cards.

    Image result for cabinet cards
The cabinet card was a style of photograph which was widely used for photographic portraiture after 1870. It consisted of a thin photograph mounted on a card typically measuring 108 by 165 mm (4 1⁄4 by 6 1⁄2 inches).

nanvan, cabinet cards were studio photographs taken in the late 1800s that were mounted on a thick card, and would perch against dishes and nic-nacs in the cabinet. they were left unframed, but were often mounted in albums.

LOL that description works well for an idea that has been bouncing around in my mind. I wonder if anyone would be interested in making cabinet card style houses? I am thinking they would be approximately the size of a long envelope which is 4" x 9.5" , so the houses would be slightly smaller to fit inside them.
houses would be tall and be able to lean, and stand on a shelf

this sounds very intriguing, could you give more info? the house is 2.5 x 3.5 and fits in the long envelope, which is also a house?

No, this is something different, not an ATC.

If anyone is interested. I was thinking of bigger houses approximately 4"x 9.5", (maybe themed) I would love to get ones themed for seasons or holidays myself. These will be sturdy enough to stand when propped against something on a shelf.

That's another thing I like about this site - I'm always learning something new! I have some cabinet cards, but I didn't know that's what they are called. Thanks for educating me, CQ5!
