That's awesome, Beverly! You matched up your grandson and Superman perfectly! That should be framed up on his wall!

Edited to add: Tealtornado, I hope you get a chance to post - I'd love to see what you make. Same woth you, Nanvan! They don't even have to be completed cards...sketching out ideas is totally acceptable too. I've done some loose sketching, but I just haven't been motivated beyond a doodle.

Great card Beverly! Your grandson will love it. Thanks for the encouragement Foxglove. Can't figure it out so far, but will keep trying.

I was doing an index card (3X5) each day, until I ran low on cards. So I went to get some and could not find any at my usual stores. So I wondered: is everyone doing ICAD too?

I settled for some 4X6 cards. So I cut them in half and continued my doodle idea. In reality this turns out to be a better size, closer to an ATC. Of course, now I have so many idea/starters I'll be finishing well after the ICAD ends. But perhaps that is part of it, to provide fodder for future endeavors.

Thats funny about the cards, Lorna! I am struggling so much...I've hit an artist's block and have just been feeling blah about making time to create.

Foxglove - take it as a time to play - just get a few marks down and let the rest follow from them. Not every card is a success (my shredder knows all about this), but it can become a better version next time.

Yes! Same here. I started off strong. But you know, the challenge itself ends this month, but that doesnt mean that we can't still work on index cards! I like the size format...enough that I bought a pack of 4x6 watercolor postcards.

I chose to do black on white. I start the card while I watch the news, which gets me some extra art time. I have a pile of cards now, some are ideas that looked better in my head. The daily cards will stop at the end of the month. The best will become ATCs or Coins, when I get a chance. So far, a few are cards and coins already by adding color, cutting and adding papers or envelope liner. I did accomplish my goal: working without a plan. It is fun to just play, see how new ideas emerge.

These are the last two that I made, which were done on 4 July. I love how these turned out - I am going to recreate them as ATCs at some point.

Great art all who posted! Love the creativity I've seen. I've never finished the challenge and that was my main goal this year. Some days I had lots of time, some I didn't, some days things worked, some days it didn't, and many times they didn't seem totally finished, but a new prompt awaited. My cards reflect this, so I don't like all of them, but it has been a learning time. Still can't figure how to post them here but did figure out Instagram, they aren't all there yet as my tablet and phone don't always cooperate. I'm listed as magentatornado, they wouldn't let me use teal. This thread has been a help on days I felt like giving up! Maybe I'll finish this year, have to wait and see.

Thanks! I'm following you now too. For some reason it's easier to see the details in your work on Instagram than here. It's wonderful, and you have very cute cats!
