Whoo-hoo! Day one is here! Here is my card - I have detailed pics on my blog, if you're interested.

I have a cheesy vampire romance book that I tear up for phrases and words. I came across "There was this bond--he denied it', and it made me think of Rollercoaster of Emotion. From that came this card. I know it's a hot mess, but I actually love creating grungy stuff like this, so I'm really happy with it. I hope you all share what you've made!

Wow, Daisy, your card is a favorite from all of this year's ICAD entries so far on Instagram - didn't realize it was by someone who's also an AFA member! I looked up your blog as well, to see more of your process of making it. I adore the grungy style.

I wonder if it's ok to post my entries here as outside links (Instagram)?

    Preparing backgrounds - https://www.instagram.com/p/BjevNFVH...by=salla.porra
    Warm-up: Rainbow - https://www.instagram.com/p/Bjgrw2GA...by=salla.porra
    Day 1: Rollercoaster - https://www.instagram.com/p/BjgssMLA...by=salla.porra

(To make the images small enough for AFA, I would need to move them to my computer first, so if links are ok, that would make it easier to post daily/while on the move. And just add to the gallery a few times a week or so.)
Welcome to take a look at my blog, Instagram account and APC wishlist!

Amapola, you can certainly post links to your cards - it can be a tedious process to move pics to your computer and then resize/reformat them. And your cards are wonderful, by the way. I am wowed at how you sketched the rest of the picture.
And now you make me want to go check Instagram...i was barely on it yesterday. I need to see what others are making. If I have many likes, it's because I got my card done super early in the morning.

Galazart - is the rollercoaster picture one of your pictures?

No, the rollercoaster picture is not mine...although I rode that coaster many, many times over the years before they closed a great amusement park.

I will post a pic of my Day 2 tomorrow...its on my blog and on my Instagram, but I'm not that happy with it. I just wasn't feeling the 'Fireworks' today. I realized too late that this would have been the time to have done my own thing. LOL

    I love yours, though GALAZART!

I declare myself officially participating in ICAD, at least here on AFA.

I’m planning to keep photos of my ICAD work in a google photo album. Here’s the link. I’ll try to remember to post the link whenever I have a new batch of drawings in there.

Julia Cameron in “Artist’s Way” and my university beginning drawing teacher got me hooked on drawing from observation. I’ve been having fun for the last several
Months just “capturing life’s many small adventures” without much concern for the outcome. I have noticed an improvement in my drawing—perspective, proportions, whether or not to shade, etc. and I notice myself looking at everything a bit differently, thinking “hmmm. How would I draw that” whether or not I’m actually drawing it.

It’s been a really cool documentation of trips I’ve taken, museums ive visited...IFF I’m alone or with someone patient enough to wait, or better yet, drawing themselves and/or sitting still so I can capture them in my sketch.

So here’s a link to my first ICAD—drawn yesterday at our local
Aviation museum while my 12-yr-old worked his first volunteer shift there.

Glad to see more participation here....I'll be checking yours whenever you post a link. ICAD is a nice size to work on for a change without having to use a journal of some sort.

I like that Japanese gun! Very nice. I hope you continue to post links!
Not sure when I'll get to arting today. I have two ATCs to try and finish today, but one of my cats decided to toss some hairballs in the shower and on my shoes. We declared today as cleaning day, so we are both trying clean, dust, wash the place.

I have a card! I gave myself 15 minutes (turned more into like 20 minutes) to make something, and this is it. I chose to do my own thing though, instead of a tilt-a-whirl. I am working on the blog post right now, but I will have the how-I-made-it up there in a few minutes.

    Nice cards, GALAZART and Electricdesigner!

I almost only do the small art, so for me, it's nice to do something bigger. I am also trying to remember that these index cards won't get traded, so there is no real pressure about making them 'perfect'.

These are all very nice. Working with collage is difficult for me. I admire how you've put these all together.

'No pressure to make them perfect'...is what is keeping me going on these...really am enjoying this "new" format. Thanks for introducing 'us' to it.
