GALZART told me about this Thread and daisyyellow's 2018 ICAD Challenge. 61 days is a lot for me to consider, but I'm going to give it a try.

I'm lovin' the cards that are posted---thanks everyone for the inspiration.

Here are my #1 and #2 cards:

Hey, NYJ, good to see you here! I think if we make it a 'personal challenge' we might make it to the end. Love your cards and the way you do collage.

Your "schedule is already full", but there's always a little time to work in the ICAD for 61 days. I intend to make it to the end...hope you will also.

I just found a packet of 5x8 index cards (says that on the ftont), so that must be an acceptable size :-). So Im including my art class assignments, 5x8 sketches, one from each chapter in my History of Western Art I textbook, in my ICAD Google album...https://photos.app.goo.gl/GEHhJOKk4nJ8feXx1

KPinAK, your notes on your sketches were interesting to read, especially the Wounded Amazon. I loved seeing them, so thanks you for sharing. ^_^

Whew, I got my blog updated with days 4 and 5! For day 4, I did the ferris wheel (I LOVE IT!) and for day 5, I used five of my own prompt deck.

Just realized what I like best about ICAD....This card needs some re-working to make the lettering 'SNAIL IT' stand out...but you know what, it's just for me and I know what it says

GALAZART, awesome card. I love the variety of stamps. In the age of social media and texting, there's just not enough snail mail in the world.

NYJunkie, you are welcome to share!

I am about to start my ICAD today - I treated my mother to a movie this morning, and then we went to Joanne's. She wanted me to paint some abstract trees on a canvas (and she wants to learn how to paint a lighthouse for a maybe-future-boyfriend), so we went there JUST to look at what size canvas she needed. Well...Joanne's had a 50% sale on canvases, so we just couldn't pass up a good deal like that. Next month we'll need to get paint, because she wants me to paint on a 36x48 inch canvas!! Oh my gosh...I've never painted on anything larger than a 5x7!!

I just added 3 cards I drew for a still life/textures challenge on another forum. We are supposed to draw or paint a still life that includes at least 4 different textures.

Some miscellaneous objects on my "artist's altar" A bottle of lemon oil, a feather shape cut out of fish skin, a smooth stone on a wicker shelf

Some objects iATC friends have given me: a fabric bunny from Rapa (the bunny's name is Carmenita la Conejita. She's my muse). A paper book with laces from Art Junkie, and an awesome fridge magnet made of found metal objects by Pochadiva. All on a wood table.

Some objects other artist friends have given me: a plastic tube of hand lotion, a paper star with zentangles on it, and a glass mosaic candle holder. Again on a wood table

Okay, that fabric bunny is pretty awesome, I gotta say! Awesome sketches, KPinAK. What is the fish skin...that's an actual fish skin?

Thank you....am really enjoying this whole thing. You can not go to Joanne's or any other craft store, in person or on line, to 'just look'....just ask my mail man...he brings me packages almost every day.
    36x48 canvas!! I wouldn't know where to start.....good luck.

Yep! Actual fish skin. Probably salmon but maybe halibut. Lots of folks up here (Alaska) dry it for artsy or tan it & use the fish leather like you would use thin regular leather. One of my friends in Sitka makes amazingly beautiful jewelry & household decor using fish skin fish 🐟
