Ghosts Among Us, Due October 19, 2018

Thanks Vicki! I was happy with the way it turned out too!

Not sure why your catalogs take longer? I ordered a bunch, months ago and just lucked out that they were "Fall" themed..

Hopefully yours will show up soon. There are some good images to collage with .

Two more SPOOK-TACTULAR cards.
You are on a roll.
Thanks so much for posting such FAB Spirits to drool over.

LOVE Spirits Rise! What is a "stabile pencil"?
Cool Kids.
Adore the whispy white on the ground and behind the children.
Is that gelatos?

I meant stabillo pencil.. You can blend with water.
Yes the mist behind the children is the clear gesso with grey and white gelatos.

I see that I have another project to experiment with.
Thanks for the inspiration, and the information.

Just want to say...I LOVE my stabilo marks-all! For most of the ATC projects, you get a similar effect with inktense or watercolor pencils.

Thanks for some additional information, Foxglove.
I had never heard of them.
Another advantage to being on the site -- always something new to learn!

Ghostly Days

As always so much fun ! I will let you know when cards are in the mail :)

Chained- magazine image, gesso, gelatos, glitter gel pen

HELPFUL HINTS FOR CREATING ATCs WITH GHOSTS:

It is easiest to create ghosts by using
The packing tape transfer method
to get a (semi-recognizable) image of a person, and still have the person look transparent.

Another great technique is to use
The liquid gel matte medium transfer method
but with that, you are transferring straight onto the card stock.

Alternatively, you can use
The liquid white glue transfer method
You are transferring straight onto the card stock.
The directions recommend PVC glue (book glue), but I am going to try "Elmer's" glue next, since it is on sale with all the school supplies.

I also like to create a sort of see-through ghostly image
Printing on vellum
Laser printer or ink jet printer?
The ink jet printer has a tendency to smear when I print on vellum, so I try to print on vellum (or glossy card stock) only when the ink is getting low so I get less ink smear.
One can also buy vellum that says it's for printing on.

Thanks so much for letting me know.
I cannot wait to see them in person.
I will advise when your ghosts float in.

Hi Vicki,

Thanks for the invite. Things are nutsy crazy over here. I'm in for this swap, though, as my job as show chair is nearing the end. Thank goodness.

GREAT Ghostly cards received from SpottedCrow.
Thanks so much for including a hostie card.

Lurking for now. I don't want to overextend and do a sloppy job. Will keep and eye out and I hope I can get time to do this. So intriguing.

I hope you can find some time to make some cards.
This is an intriguing subject, and has lots of room for creativity.
