I do remember the busy NYcity postcard, but forgot that you got it.

Here is link to SOrxia's sent items. SO you can see what a masterpiece she made from some UGH

My "Tell the Story" card with the Thoreau sourpuss stamp was made from the San Diego postcard- the backside was covered with gold rose washi tape, the gold strip, and all those flashy gold stars. You can kind of see the postmark and some writing in the picture, but my camera washes everything out. It's easier to see in person. So that's where that background came from.

I went to back to look after you mentioned it. Wow Great work. I like that you took the old faces from the NY city card and added to the more vintage Thoreau card. I can now see the postmark. I was impressed before the explanation but now even more so.

    Prex79, those are spectacular.

Note to everyone, when your cards get here, they get here. We have a few extra days, and we can't control dead presidents, or live ones for that matter.

Haagmm, your cards arrived. Doesn't that seem fast? I appreciate the hostess card, and have no idea which one I will take, but think I will give the gnomes to those who were hinting.

    OK
    I need to know.
How do you keep track of who begged for what.
Do you just remember, make lucky guesses, keep a list, go back and look through the thread?

I write it down on the envelope. or use a sticky note on the card. Once the cards arrive. And very rarely I just remember.

Most of the time when I am picking a hostess card, I review who said what, and try not to take one that someone else really loves.

I forgot to respond to TAD ~ I assume when you asked about stamps, you meant rubber stamps (as postage stamps are part of the swap requirement)... I used rubber stamps in the background, like the numbers, but the focal points are collage.

Thank you all for the kind comments on my cards. They were definitely a challenge!

TAD, your cards are brilliant! I love how you used the punchinella for the skirt pattern and "Greetings" is perfect! Love them all.
