Thanks CQ5! Yes, I'm glad. Several cities in British Columbia went on strike today.

There is less than one month for the swap to be in my hot little hands. So please plan accordingly.

I finished my cards today. Need to take a picture, and pack em up. I found this one very challenging.

I need to work on the on the T2T 9, but luckily I live close and the swap will take one day to get to Cici. I could drive it over but really I dont often go over to her area of town. (not that is a bad area, it is just far, and then there is traffic)

I just finished my set and will send them out tomorrow or Monday at the latest... the process for this swap was so different than usual. I made one right away, and wrote down ideas for others at the same time; when I came back to work on them later, I scrapped one idea, and ended up using another stamp in an entirely different way on the second card. I had a block with the third and forth until this morning, when they decided they were ready to be created :~)

I like what you did, I see you got the ugly sticker slapped postcard. I love making them but hated getting them, so I stopped joining that pc swap. You did a nice job with the postcard, and love that you used the candies. My favorite is the Thoreau and Lennon postage stamp card. Great connection to the two stamps.

Ali - your cards are all amazing - so creative. My favourite is the John Lennon card, too. I still have the newspaper with the front page story of his murder and an old Rolling Stone with a cover of John and Yoko. In case I haven't given it away, I was (and am) a huge John Lennon fan. Have been since I first heard the Beatles at the age of 12.

I cried when John Lennon died, and I really wasnt a huge fan. I remember lying on my bed crying. BTW he is the singer of my favorite Christmas song.

BTW, I have 36 envelopes for my next swap, not even posted yet. IF you havent mailed yet, and you think you want to play. Just slip in an extra sticky address label. That will reduce some hand writing on some envelopes.

What is your next swap again? I forget if you said...and what will the deadline be? Postal workers rejected the time limited offer by Canada Post, so this strike is only going to get worse before it gets better. I think I have received 1 piece of "real" mail in 10 days...I did, however, receive a whole whack of junk mail on Friday and 2 pieces of mail for people who must have lived in my apartment long before I moved in. Oh, and still haven't received my returns from 2 swaps, but enjoying reading about everyone else receiving theirs. Oh, I sound bitter, don't I? I'm really not, mostly venting. But my point is that, unless the deadline is a while away I might not be able to get my cards in on time, so it's a factor in deciding. Thanks!
