What IS an ATART?
It is an All Types of ART marathon, done over the same time in each time zone. This thread is going to be our crafting room.
How it works
Start creating art when it's time to start, then upload your lovely creations to your Gallery and post to the thread. Trading and chatting are going on all the time.
How to ask for a trade
When you see a piece of art you would like to trade for, please SEND A PERSONAL MESSAGE (PM) to that person asking for a trade. Please DO NOT post requests for trades to the thread. It can get way too confusing.
NOTE: if you do make a trade, please be sure to send to your trade partner within 2 weeks. If you're running late, communicate!
Want to compliment an artist:
And you will. . . remember you can click the You Rock button and leave it there.
How to post your art to the thread
From your atcsforall.com gallery - it's easiest to have 2 windows open.
1) Go to your Gallery and right click on the picture you wish to post - this brings up a menu which includes "Copy image location".
2) Left click on 'Copy image location'
3) Go to your post and hit the 'Insert image' button (it looks like a postcard)
4) Paste the address (right click, hit paste or Ctrl V) into the window that pops up and hit OK - that puts the code into your post for your picture to show up ( you paste the address from the properties box over the http thingy that shows when you open the 'insert image' box)
5) and then you're done
[IMG]http://www.atcsforall.com/forum/gallery/images/296/small/1_64.jpg[IMG
(I left the last bracket off the above so you can see how the address will look)
Remember that images from the Gallery can be small, medium or large. Find the word, or letters s m l, in the address and change it to small or s.
From your computer:
1) Click POST REPLY at the bottom of the messages screen. Above the message box, click the paperclip next to the smiley face. Then upload as usual. This will upload your picture as THUMBNAIL (which appears at the bottom of your post).
2) If you go into the Quick Reply box at the bottom of the messages screen, click GO ADVANCED and you will get the paperclip above the message box.
NEW TO ATARTS?
If you have any questions at all, feel free to post your questions to the thread or PM me. We have a lot of experienced art-a-thoners who are more than willing to help those of you new to this craziness.
IMPORTANT:
Remember to put your username on the back of all your cards.
You can't get an iTrader if your trading partner doesn't know who you are.

Bookmarking. I will be your number one lurker but I doubt if I will have anything to offer.. but if I do it won’t be in the usual “Jo style”. For those who haven’t heard, on December 10 while in the Galápagos I had a close encounter with pahoehoe lava, fell and broke bones in my left wrist. I am left handed. I have surgery scheduled for the day after Christmas. Without it I would only have limited motion in my wrist and probably pain forever. So it is under the knife for me! If I owe you reps or I-traders I am slowly getting those out. Have fun doing art. I will be watching.

Planning to play but I'll be a little late starting.
Picked up some deeply discounted wrapping paper yesterday that I though might be good for crafting.
My APC add
I am interested in trading for cancelled US international stamps - specifically the succulent, globe and the new flower stamp - please pm me.

Lovely to see all these people bookmarking the ATART.
I have issued invitations to players from last year and from the recent Halloween Athon. If you know someone that you don't think would have been on either of these lists but would be good to play please feel free to invite them yourself - the more, the merrier.
I am currently in Melbourne which has Daylight Saving time (where I live in Queensland, doesn't) but this means that we get to start in 13.5 hours. See you there.

Not sure I'll be able to play, but want to bookmark and will try - thanks for the invite!

I should be able to play a bit.
I've been eating entirely too many Xmas cookies & need to keep my hands busy with art instead of cookies!
So, thank you for the invite & for saving me from all the sugar!
<-- That is how I am feeling today.

I have always enjoyed these get-togethers. Thank you for inviting me. I will be checking in and not sure of my crafting abilities at the moment but always love to be part of it. A dear friend of mine and her daughter came and organized my studio space. I am still absolutely giddy about it. Her before and after pictures are a hoot. My daughter came in and commented of how big the room and my son said he had tried to come in here once and couldn’t really walk around. LOL
They are both right.
I have leukemia but I am out of the hospital for now at least. So very glad to be home. There were so many things I took so for granted and now everything is a blessing to me.
I will mention it to Ancient Planter...... she had surgery so not sure if she can art yet but I always love her cards and her friendship.
Be encouraged

Thank you so much for the invite! I so hope to make some art and this would be just the thing to get me started. Love the daily prompt choices, too!
(It's been WAY too long for me to be away from you all!)

AND WE CAN START!!
I have been cutting pieces out for the last week, hoping that I didn't lose any as I am 2 states away from my craftroom celebrating Christmas with the extended family.
My cards use leftover wrapping paper and Christmas from Day 1's themes.
#1 the top square is a reindeer drummer
#2 the top square is a mouse with a present labelled 'JOY'
#3 the top square is Santa with a striped, patched bag
#4
#5
I have 5 more waterfall cards to complete and LOTS of other ideas. It is nearly 1am so I will bid you all goodnight and I can't wait to see what is created while I sleep.

Sorry to hear about your accident Jo. I hope you make a good and speedy recovery. I will be keeping and eye on this and may even stray back from needlework to artwork - you never know
