Ooh, I might do that too! I have a bin of fabrics and another bin of trims that i’ve been using to make a fancy crazy quilt. I haven’t been able to work on it much lately, even though it is over half finished.

Smidgen, that's pretty much a guarantee that at least one will be a crazy quilt. I really enjoyed that whole process from gathering the fabrics to embellishing. I'm just not sure if we're supposed to treat the back of the heart like an ATC and write the information on there with a Micron or attach a tag, maybe add a pocket back there to tuck in a card.

CiCi, I can relate! Iím only on my third square and I started it at least 6 months ago.
Strivaria, I have stitched my initials on the back and then added all the info on paper in the bag. I like the pocket idea or you can just write it down and include the info in each clear plastic bag with each heart.

Smidgen, can I make my hearts with needle felted wool? If not I'm good with regular fabric too.

V4A, no problem! I was thinking about using felt for one of mine so I don’t see the difference. My main thing for this swap is embellishments. I love embellishments. The heart I am working on now has lace, buttons, beads, and a charm!

So glam those hearts up everyone!

There are some gorgeous examples on Pinterest! So many ideas, and they all look very different from each other.

Iíve been working on mine. I pulled out some of my hand painted fabrics, trims, buttons and beads. I spilled a container of sequins. What a mess! Iím going to put a label on the back. Probably with fusible web.

Here are my hearts. I hope theyíre adequately embellished.. I used handpainted fabric, tulle, sequins ( cut into heart shapes), metallic thread, beads and lace.

They are beautiful, Cheryl! I’m partial to the pink one, but I would love any of those!

Cheryl, they’re wonderful! I love the fabric! Did you use acrylic paint and soak? I love the shades!

I use fabric paints. I wet the fabric on Saran Wrap, crumple a bit and paint like watercolors. The pink has some gold sparkles. I do this in my cellar as it gets messy. The fabric is stiffer than commercial so I backed the hearts with fabric scraps from my quilting projects.

That is absolutely gorgeous! And the bluebird is one of my favorite birds, the other being a chickadee.

I just wanted to let you know I have changed the postage cost for Canada and international per information from Kynara. No one will be affected by this. I just wanted to keep it for my own future information. If you want to contact me about this it is no problem just pm me.
