I wanted to show this starter off since it was connected to the NEw year new something swap. It was a technique I tried and wasnt thrilled with the results for the swap but happy with adding cacti and using the backgrounds here. ( I have too many more backgrounds since the experiment involved a 8x11 pieces of card stock.)

It was called emboss resist. You paint the paper. Let it dry, Then you emboss an image and oh something... and well I should have used a better color for the base.

Spent most of today doing various cards - hoorah! Finished a couple of swaps with deadlines fast approaching, and then worked on some RR cards. These are the finished ones (there were some seconds as well).

These were worked on by:

Hearts: cinlan/thouartdelyrias/me
mice: carol/heymaggie/me
shrimp: allegrae, chronic reader/me
winter: heymaggie/silky/me

and now that I look at that last one, I'm pretty sure I sent the two homers to silky instead of heymaggie. Dang it. For some reason I had it the other way around in my head - but they're gone now, so I'll just have to beg her to pass the other one along. Figures that that's the one I mailed already - a bunch more envelopes are sitting next to my computer waiting for me to get to the post office for some more stamps!

I was thinking of asking for no alcohol, but maybe I mean no WINE cause I have some beer cards, and like them. I am just not a wine drinker. Not a beer drinker either. I have better things to do with my calories. No drinking your calories is my rule. But Cheesecake is a solid.

Oh and the whole dang reason I came here. I Mailed out a TONS of envelopes Saturday. Some folks got 2 envelopes like Carol and Bluskyhare. I have more to finish up Tomorrow and new envelopes.

Please make sure you are putting enough postage on cards. No one wants to pay additional postage.


And if you are going to put embellishments on a card that cause it to be more postage it would be nice for you to include more postage for all the mailings to follow.
