Artist Inspired swap: Georgia on my mind

Georgia O’Keefe: “I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn't say any other way - things I had no words for.”

Another inspired swap. This time it is Georgia O’Keefe. One of the most significant artists of the 20th Century who made great contributions to Modern Artist. From her bold colors to her innovative expressionist images, she explored the outer edges of her creativity. But she wasn’t without her fears. She once said: I've been absolutely terrified every moment of my life - and I've never let it keep me from doing a single thing I wanted to do.

Here are some of their works:

This looks super interesting! Can we emulate some of her early artwork that included skyscrapers? I find these paintings captivating and her struggle to find her voice in painting when it was considered masculine is seen in these earlier works.

Welcome! Yes! If you love her early artwork then go for it. Can't wait to see what you create.

I will definitely be joining, thank you for the invite! I was able to go to a museum that temporarily showed some of her original paintings, I was glad I did.

Love her! Please add me.

I sketched this from her painting in NYC :)

Oh my---so many inspired artists have jumped in. Glad you joined in. I got to see her work several years ago when I was in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Interested!
What if we draw or paint something and then want to cut it out and put it on another background that we've also drawn or painted, will that work?
