Welcome to the Mixed Media Towers and Spires Swap
Returns Mailed -- March 21, 2019!

This swap is to celebrate towers and spires of all kinds…realistic, whimsical or fantasy-inspired…all work for this swap. Think castles, cathedrals, clock towers, buildings around the world, pinnacles, ziggurats and monuments. Look to your imagination for magical towers, soaring palaces inspired by ancient history or dazzling futuristic spires. And the tower or spire can be the background for your card...it doesn't have to be the entire focal point.

Some inspiration...and more ideas!

In addition, your towers and spires must be created in more than one media to make the cards more complex and layered. Media include, but are not limited to, pens, markers, all kinds of inks, chalks, pastels, paints, beeswax, encaustics, sewing/embroidery, collage and small, light assemblage. Please do not use stickers as the focus of your card.

Swap Requirements ~
* All cards should be standard 3.5” x 2.5”
* This swap is 3 for 3 only. An extra card for the host is welcome, but completely optional.
* Cards must be original. Send work into which you put time, imagination and care.
* Please use only small, light embellishments on your cards.
* Please protect your cards with plastic sleeves.

Mailing Information ~
* Include username, real name, your state/country and the swap name on the back of all cards - and put username and swap name on all envelopes sent.
* US Participants – Please include a clearly written SASE.
* International Participants - Please send a clearly-addressed envelope or mailing label and I will cover postage.

Please PM me for my address when you are ready to mail your cards. Please post in this thread when you are sending your cards out, that way I can keep track of the cards when they were mailed. Any late cards will be returned.

When you receive your returns, please leave I-Trader for your swap host and rep points for the artists of the cards you receive. People like to know where their little artworks find home.

Who would like to create awesome towers and spires?

There are some very cool towers out there!
And remember the tower or spire can be the background for your card...it doesn't have to be the entire focal point.

Hey,

I just got back from town, and Michael's had stuff on sale.
Tim Holtz has some cityscapes and some medieval skylines that are very cool.
I had forgotten about thinlits dies and I found some I didn't own.
Here is a Lady Godiva ATC I made with Tim Holtz spires and towers die, punched out, then painted with acrylic paint, which are showing in the background behind Lady Godiva.

Thought another sample might inspire y'all.
