I am sorry to say I haven't managed to make a set of cards that are good enough to submit. Many apologies, but I must drop out.

My Mom loved the quilt I made for her for Mother's Day. My youngest brother, Jon, who lives a mile from her, hung it up for her. It hangs directly across from her front door! I'm so pleased it came out okay.

Lorrie it’s lovely all hung on the wall! I knew she’d love it. What a special thoughtful gift. <3

Also, your tiny quilts arrived here today as well! My you’ve been busy! They’re even prettier in hand... the stitched ones must have taken ages! Thanks for the hostie!

Kristen, your gorgeous quilts are safely in my hands. So many variations on Star and each one is so detailed. Great use of Washi! I want to try that while there’s still time, I hope I can do it. You’ve inspired me! How to cut that sticky stuff as neatly as you did?!?! Thanks for the hostie too!

For the Washi tape pieces....I cut the shape needed with white cardstock ...attach to Washi...then trim excess off..when all pieces are covered then glue quilt together.
    Oui..I love Paris.

Oh my— I was so excited for this swap but too much has been heaped on my plate in May. Sadly I must withdraw. I do hope that someone hosts something with fabric soon because I bought some really cute fat quarters.

I just checked in to share my little quilts...happy they arrived in time...they are in my gallery.
I was making a third fabric card but slipped with the rotary cutter...my hand was well out of the way but repairing the diagonal left it short...so the square was a rectangle. I plan to add some bits and have a random card.
One thing I noticed was the need to control fraying. Has anyone used a fray stop? Next time I will put a coating on the edges before I attach to the backing.

I have used something called Fray Check before. It's probably the same thing. Then friend told me that if you don't have any on hand, just touch the edges with a brush of clear nail polish. That works too!

I always use the clear nail polish method (just touching the brush to it) on the ends of cut ribbons. Even if they are trimmed on the diagonal, they can still fray a bit, but the nail polish stops it and keeps it neat and crisp looking.
