I am going going for the OR NOT category, and cutting out abstract areas of cards, but I have not created anything yet. I could tomorrow as it is my BETTY Day over at my Friends house. She has an immaculate
craft room. She is also not into using trash for her art. she makes only greeting cards and scrap book pages, but somehow we have managed to remain friends despite those differences.

    LOL! I love it!

Can you at least share each other's stash at times? Have fun at Betty day, and remember how jealous I am!

I have 4 friends who have awesome but very differently organized craft rooms.

Betty and I get together on some Tuesdays. She has all white Ikea drawers and she shorts her paper by color. She likes red so most of her other bins are red. She has a ink pad caddy from close to my heart? Not sure which brand. She also hung 4 long towel racks or curtain rods and hangs some of her rubber stamps from close to my Heart! on clips from the rods. The wooden stamps are organized in this Ikea drawers by category. She has her ribbon on a 3 tiered dow rack.

The dowel rack would never work for me since my ribbons and such dont alway come on a round cardboard circle with a hole. I have mine in baskets.

I also dont have a ton of those Stamp in Stamps to need a towel rack with clips. I have my wooden stamps in drawers orgainized by them or in baskets on a bookshelf.

I'm working on my porch now, which is where my craft supplies are kept...Not making too much progress though.

Well, clicking LIKE this post, seems lame. So a that gives me an excuse to be chatty.

May I suggest the Castlequeen plan? When I doubt, add a butterfly, gem, bird, trim. Add words. add some black dots around the edges. Ink the edges.

Or go look into some box you have stored stuff and see if you can use something you forgot you had.

That is the CQ5 blocked muse buster plan.

Turn it upside down? Use the rule of 3. So 3 red things, 3 gems, 3 of something that goes together.

I hope that jump starts your muse.

    Thanks, CQ5.

I'm also trying to declutter my house, which leaves me with less playtime; but I'll keep going back to it and hopefully something will happen!

CQ- That's hilarious! When I'm in doubt about cards for a swap I go to the opposite of what I was originally trying to come up with (i.e. look for a background instead of a focal point) and then add stripes or dots. Sometimes I just look through the collage images or background cards and pick something that I want to use and make it work for the swap!

My supplies are not only getting organized but also labeled!! And I'm incorporating a 'to file' box to decrease the number of stacks sitting around my work area. I thought I had cut all of my 12x12 scrapbook paper down to either 3 1/2 or 2 1/2 inch strips but then I found yet another box in the garage.

I had a flash on this, does it have to be from the front of the card? I’m thinking using of the words inside and see where that takes me. I’m pretty stuck. Please post what you all have done because my muse needs a kick in the pants.

Suzi, your coins arrived. Thanks for making so many, it gives me a wide choice. I haven't untaped them yet. I will close to the swap date.

Ok...I need just a little clarification. Do I have to use the Christmas card as the coin or can I put part of the card on a coin as the focal point?

    Am I over thinking this?
