I thought the same thing theweavershand (post #13) I understand now it's just the doll that will be mailed, so each player gets a feel of what to do with with the scroll piece they make for that player's doll.
Thanks CiCiCreates and thank you notinkansas for the updates
I'm still good for the 15th, but I'm good for when all the player's are ready
Has the box size we use to mail been decided upon?
If everyone else is ok with first mail date being the 15th, I can probably swing it. My doll and scroll base are almost finished. Her head and hair were so involved (she will also have pearl earrings and wire-rimmed glasses) that I may leave her torso part plain. I figure the scroll will eventually cover it anyway. Just have to finish the scroll base, attach the head, and then create my own gallery wall panel.
im going to try to have mine done in time. i havent started on her yet as ive been having so much trouble wrapping my head around this concept. now that i think i get how this works, i can get her made. hopefully in time to mail out on or as near to the 15th as possible.
Say hello to Nandini(bringer of joy) and my first panel. My theme is folk artist who loves the look of religious icons and texiles from India. I was inspired by the purchase of a Indian tunic that I used to make the doll. Also the panel inspiration is from the Angels & icons workshop at gwenlafleur.com (sorry unable to attach images or link). Please look at her work. Love it! Love it! I will enclose textile scraps from India and most likely panel backs as well. Be colorful be bright! Be inspired! Seriously I truly love the detail of texiles from India. Gold trims, beads , sequins etc....please add elements from the garden especially flowers. Have fun!
Bluesky, wonderful doll! And your first panel is a great example for us of what you’d like to see. I do happen to have some pretty gold lace (might actually be the same as yours) and silky fabrics- can’t wait to do my panel for your doll!
