Inspired by Vincent Van Gogh: Due August 9, 2019

Great choice sarat!:jiggy:

I'm lurking for the moment. I have to see how the technique goes at this scale. Starry Night was my favorite painting as a child. I miss the east, where I could get on a bus to see Starry Night most any time. It is at the New York City MOMA (Museum of Modern Art). If I recall, Van Gogh did olive trees too.

I am thinking of using his techniques on the local landscape. I found a website that also has his drawings (including the study for Starry Night). https://www.vangoghgallery.com/catalog/catalog.html

So I will study and sketch and get back...

Hope you get to jump and play with us.

Mucho thanks! Watched both movies and looooove Vincent. We rescued a dog on Van Gogh’s birthday and get this, his name was already a Vinny!!

My first card and I love it!
Took forever waiting for acrylics to dry.

Love it! Great colors and design.

Have you guys watched the old Kirk Douglas movie about Van Gogh's life? It's called "Lust for Life". You can watch it on YouTube. I thought it was really good.
Van Gogh Movie

**Note** I just started watching it and it looks like they've got kind of a wonky version of it on there now. They've started charging $2.99 to rent it. Sorry. It was free and full screen when I watched it a long time ago.
