Thank you, LindyLu. Today was a good day. I went for a mini hike walk, played with some dogs, drove, shopped for groceries, and raked some leaves. I hope to sleep really well tonight.

You know how they say when it rains, it pours. It poured all over my world today. My best friend since 1973 passed away yesterday. He was the kindest, most generous, funniest person I'd ever known. We were the same age. I know that he's crossed the Mopar Highway and is on the other side trading goofy jokes (those kind that most people can't tell well and others always roll their eyes at) with my dad, the only other person I knew who could get away with those.
The bright light of my day, though, was pulling the mail from my mailbox and finding a lovely fall-themed envie from partner. I love this envie and will set it up to cheer me up.
And Mel, I would definitely like to do the Valentine swap.
