SPRINGTIME INCHIES Collage/Mixed Media - DUE APRIL 20,2020

    Due date: April 20, 2020
Withdraw Date: no deadline, just communicate
Number of Inchies: 6 for 6
    Number of Participants: 15
    Medium: Collage/Mixed Media

Springtime Inchies Due April 20, 2020

I love Spring and hoping for it to come as soon as possible! You can use any Spring theme, animals coming out of hibernation, bees, new buds whatever makes you think of spring. Please try to make each inchie different.

    Please Do:
-Art that you would love to receive yourself
-Each inchie should be 1" x 1" Using an 1" punch is the best way to go for accuracy or please measure as precisely as possible! Slanted, wavy, or too small/too large inchies will be returned as part of your trade. I am willing to send blank Inchies to anyone in the USA that feels they are having difficulty with cutting Inchies.
    - Heavy but plyable paper should be used, about 140 lb. weight
    -Please no white backgrounds
-Use at least 3 things on each inchie and nothing that is too bulky for sending internationally
-Include your username and real name on the back
    - Protect them in a plastic sleeve
-Host gifts are so appreciated but or not required
-PM me when you need my addy

*Please mail early! I love to swap on the due date if possible! Inchies that are not received by April 20th or do not follow the directions will be returned to the artist at their expense.

    Postage:
Please include a large label with your address clearly printed on it and a US Forever stamp (I'll provide the envelope)
Those outside of the USA please include an International Global Forever Stamp or a concealed $1 with your large address label.

Please leave iTrader for me when you get your returns so I know they arrived safely and please give rep points ("you rock") to the people you received inchies from!

If you have any questions, please just ask!

Who would like a little Spring in an envelope coming their way?

    Did someone say inchie?

Question - you say to use at least 3 things on each inchie. Would paint/ink count as a "thing"? (Like for a mixed media background).

Edited to add: Please sign me up, but I am going to have to think about what to do for the focal images. I don't have collage elements, so focal images are usually a stamped image or something I drew.

So excited to have you Foxglove! Thanks for your question! I just don’t want inchies with two things glued on or worse yet two stickers (I’m not real crazy about stickers) stuck on and done. So things are anythings that layer the inchies and that would include paint, ink, stamps, drawing, whatever you like and think someone else would like.

Perfect! That's my kind if inchie! (I am not fond of stickers either, unless it's added as an accent.)

(And thank you for the invite - I would have missed this!)

Have any of you started your inchies yet? I’m hoping to sit down tonight and cut out some possible images!

I've got three of my HD/HP done for the other swap. Haven't started the collage ones yet.

I just got done cutting out tons of images, now I have to spend hours deciding what to use. I always have such a hard time making decisions!

I have one set of Inchies made, but I need to do the others. I am trying to figure out how to depict "spring".

I know exactly what you mean! The more options there are the more stuck I get!

I tried to give some options but I was also thinking colors that depict Spring rather than Summer! I think they are the ones that are the closest. Fall is pumpkins and leaves and those fall colors. Winter is always with snow and sledding and evergreens. I guess Spring is more the pastels and new life, buds and baby critters. Summer is more the beach colors sand and water, things in full bloom. Just my quick thoughts for what they are worth if we do each season.

Donnacr, adding you on! The quilled buds sound fascinating! Some will be fine, just remember we have one international so far so we need flat for them.

I mailed mine off this morning!
I hope they're okay. I have a hard time doing collage on inchies. I can't figure out how to add layers without obliterating the lower layers. So, maybe they're too simple? Hopefully they will pass muster!

Plumhill, at least 3 medium on each one is great! I’ll be watching for them!

Plumhill, your inchies just arrived! The gold leaf under the ladybug didn’t show up that well in the picture, very cool!
