I made a bunch more of the backgrounds for a future Trash swap. I had fun making them and felt good from saving the papers from the landfill, since the thermal paper isn't recyclable.

I learned about the reciepts from Recyclebank.com. I thought it was paper and recyclable but the thermal part makes them not able to be processed, in Phoenix, anyway.

    https://livegreen.recyclebank.com/co...-thermal-paper

Dear Recyclebank: Can I recycle my receipts? Most of them are thermal paper. If not, what can I do with them instead? –Jesse M.

Dear Jesse: The most common type of receipt paper is thermal paper. This slightly shiny, smooth paper contains chemicals that allow printing via heat transfer, rather than with ink, but it also poses health concerns. One of chemicals thermal paper relies on is bisphenol A (BPA)
Because BPA may be tough to remove during the paper-recycling process, and can find its way into new recycled paper products, many areas require you to keep thermal paper out of your recycle. Check with your local waste hauler to see if they have rules about it, but if in doubt, keep your receipts out of the recycling bin.

BPA? I would have never guessed that!

Hi folks.. I’ve been holding off a bit because I know one more set is out in the mail en route. I’ll be leaving reps and presorting today. Rest assured I’ll be mailing by Friday. I couldn’t WISH for a better swap. This has been delightful.

I’m happy hear cards are arriving in their new homes. Thanks for letting me know. Hasn’t this one been fun? I kind of ‘wish’ it wasn’t wrapping up.
