This sounds cool! Question - are everyone's cups each the size that will fit on one ATC or on one 4x4? Or are they all going to be any size we want? I be confused. I'm in, please let me know!

I was kind of wondering about that, too. They will probably all be slightly diffferent sizes.

Sorry everybody, but I'll ask this another way: Should the teacups all be as large as an ATC will accommodate, or as large as a 4x4 will hold? There's a big difference and I'd kind of like mine to fit together and look, well, fabulous and not ill-fitting!

My take on it was that each cup would be cut from a 4x4.

    Clarifications: Measurements

I forgot you folks cannot read my mind.

I measured the samples I made. they are 3 x 4 inches, for the exception of one I made from an atc, which is icky.

Please make your teacups from chunky sized paper.

3" tall and 4" wide? Ha ha. They may not stack well if some are 3" wide and some are 4" wide. We're making life so difficult for you, aren't we? Glad I haven't started any yet!
    I LOVE that calamityware, BTW!

The bottom is usually a lot narrower than the top, so that should be fine for stacking.

Oh my...I just finished six. They are almost 4 inches wide but a little over two inches high. Is that okay?

I'm still having "challenges", lol. This is exercising my brain. I made my first cup "shape" (not finished) and it looked like this photo. Then I said to myself, "OH NO! That won't work! You can't make them look stacked if the tea is showing on the top!" So, now I'm trying to get a version that's straight from the side.

I think we're going to have to relax our expectations a little. There will be so many different shapes. I'm just going to have fun and do my best. I hope mine will be acceptable in the end.

    Still lurking!

so I'm more of a collage artist although I can paint I just really enjoy this medium. Please tell me if my fist teacup with an Alice theme is acceptable. If not I can attempt to go in a more painterly fashion

I googled teacup template images and there were tons. You need to to scale them however to fit the dimensions
