I'm hearing on MSN that trump's new appointee is slowing down the mail on purpose. I don't want to get political (at least not on this site as I know it's forbidden) but there are articles about this, why and how it's being done.

Right. Unfortunately, I have no control over the impact of the pandemic or Trump appointees on the mail. I know that right now I'm still waiting on cards from 11 people and 3 of those folks are international. Of those 11, I've heard from 7 that cards are on the way. One person seemed like it was unlikely cards would make it, but didn't withdraw completely.

We have 2 days until the swap officially closes. I want to see what comes in the meantime. I will probably hold off a little longer than usual before I swap out if cards are still outstanding, but probably no later than the next weekend. This is a big swap and it takes time for me to sort.

That’s wonderful news! That’s two more folks that don’t need to fret... and a bit less for you to keep up with.

I have to withdraw, which I really hate doing. I am in slow-mo. I sent you a p.m., actually answered your p.m.- but I intended to send you one anyways. I'm just not going to think about the wonderful cars I'm missing out on! : (

So the good news is I'm only waiting on 5, but 3 of them are international. As mentioned before, I'm going to extend just a little bit due to the slowness of mail these days. I'm certain on 3 being sent out, checking on the other two.

In the meantime, if you are following the thread, this is the card I made for Loladog. It has a different title from the card, since Loladog likes funny cards. The title is "You fool! Mind the Theory of Impetus and don't hit Benedetti!"

    Great card!

Thank you for waiting a little longer. I know that mine is one of the sets that you're waiting on. Not happy with my Post Office as they said 14 days!

Sorry Lucy, not yet. Today's mail was just sad, a collection of coupons and nothing else.

I'm so upset that my cards haven't arrived yet. Especially when I was assured by the Post Office that they would be to you within 2 weeks when I posted them.

    I'm fine with delaying mailing.

My husband takes avoiding COViD19 verrrrry seriously! He has procedures for everything.
Our mail gets put in a paper bag and left for three days after we pick it up -- "just in case".
We have a local grocery store that delivers, so we seldom leave the house.
We clean incoming perishables by wiping down with bleach water, leave canned goods in the garage for 3 days, and put fruits/veges into clean bags that go get stored until used -- then washed or peeled or cooked.
    ... with love, Lois
