The Hung-Up on HALLOWEEN Swap - Due Oct 5

    Due date: October 5th
Sign up/withdraw: This is a no-sign-up swap; you join when your art is received.
    Number of art pieces: 3/3
Number of players: We shall see.

Join us as we make spooktacular Halloween ornaments! This will be a no-sign up swap. You join when your art arrives in nannerland. Chatting and sharing in the thread is encouraged. You’re welcome to join in the banter even if you don’t send in any art. In these odd times, we could all use a little ART to make our lives Hallo-wonderful!

    Simple Rules to Swap Success:

    1. Open and mixed media artwork: They can be flat or 3-Dimensional. Mixed media including paper, paint, beads, clay, tins, objects and more. Keep the size so that the main art piece fits in the palm of your hand (not including dangles or the hanger.) Include a hanger for each ornament (ribbon, hook, wire, etc.)

    2. Keep it pretty: All kinds of Halloween creatures and objects are welcome. Nothing gory or gross.

    3. This is ART, so please remember to sign your work with your username with each piece. No rush jobs! Please make and send art that you were proud to create. Take your time with this and create something exceptional.

    4. Wrap each piece individually and pack your pieces safely in a bubble envelope, which I will re-use. Include a large return address label.

    5. Postage: Please include the same amount of postage in $US dollars that it takes to mail the art to me. For US participants, this could be $5 or more, depending on the size/weight of your finished art. International participants: PayPal with postage value equivalent to what it cost to send the art to me. Please message for my email. If postage makes it cost-prohibitive for you to join, send a private message to me, and we'll work something out.

    6. Show and tell: Please upload piccys of your work. That’s one of the best parts! Hostess gifts or extra postage are always appreciated.

    7. Rep and iTrader: A lot of work goes into this art, so please take the time to leave Rep Points (You Rock button) for the people you receive art from, and an iTrader for me. PM for my address (in Costa Mesa.)

So great to see the Halloweenies gathering! I like they way ferretgirl put it "signing in."

We're doing this as a no-sign-up swap this time. You join when you finish your art and I receive it in nannerland.

In the meantime, we can hang out and set our minds to Halloween art!

Hmmmmn. Will Bluesky be using a crackle medium? Witches pot on the boil of a burning wooden pyre? Old toad clearing his throat while out for a hop on a chilly October night?

(That last one was a stretch.)

    Great to see you all!

Mmmmn...Halloween candy! Seeing as how trick-or-treating may be different this year, I will have to be extra careful how much I buy (and will potentially have to just eat it all myself!)

Your comment confuses me. Are you saying Halloween candy is normally meant to be shared? Apparently I’ve been doing it wrong my entire adult life. I just thought my personal treat selection was better this time of year.

Happy to be involve in your Halloween mayhem.

Halloween costume is the challenge this year. Have the job only allows me to wear the mask they gave us. Gotta figure out what I can get away with doing to the mask(and still be able to breathe)

lurking.....or is stalking the thread more appropriate for Halloween? Tim Holtz had his Halloween idea-ology release last Saturday, so I'm totally in a Halloween mood. I love seeing all the Halloween makes!

Bluesky....mask clip-on art? There could be a whole market for that....

Great share, M! I want ALL of those items. The Michael's by my house used to carry a lot of Tim Holtz greatness, but when I was there a week ago, it was ghost town for his stuff. I hope that I just caught it between seasons.

Bluesky, that does present a challenge. It's hard enough to breathe with face coverings, and then when you add extra weight. Even throwing on a Hannibal Lecter mask wouldn't qualify for the correct nose/mouth covering.
