Inspired Swap—Paul Klee meets Cris de Diego: Hand Drawn/Hand Painted/Origami/Sewing. Due November 11, 2020

Another inspired swap. This time it is 2 artists who have an imaginary collaboration. Klee had a highly individual style and was influenced by movements in art that included Expressionism, Cubism, and Surrealism. Once a lawyer by profession, Contemporary Spanish painter Cris de Diego never thought she would dedicate herself to art. A lifelong lover of museums, she used to enjoy artworks from afar. But when her visual disability threatened to get in the way of her passion, she knew it was time to act.

The idea is to be inspired by their styles, messages, genres.

Make three different inspired cards. The style and medium can be the same for all three or you can mix it up as you choose.

Medium: Hand-drawn or painted, sewing, origami, hand-made stamp, etc. No collages, stickers, digital or photography. Handmade art cards only. Check with me if in doubt about your medium. Make something that would be hard for you to give up.

Use your artistic skills and feel free to use your imagination and unique style. All cards must be original (i.e., no prints or copies).
Most of all---Have fun!!!

Requirements:
*All cards should be standard 3.5” X 2.5” and at least one layer of card stock.
*Cards should be flat enough to fit in plastic sleeves.
*Send cards in plastic sleeves.
*Withdraw early if you can’t do the swap, late cards may be returned if they can’t be swapped out.

I am working on these...so far, a sketch for Mr. One Ear. He is a wandering cat who comes in my yard (really only one ear). My cat will not tolerate roommates and scares him off. My cat was feral so protects her territory. I think he lives over at the horse stables. Back to the drawing board...

Too funny. I have feral cats and neighborhood cats that visit my backyard. There is always water and shade for them. All of them have two ears..lol...:jiggy: So are you in? Still lurking?

Essy: Just received your art cards. First ones to arrive. Love them. So glad you were up for the challenge. Thanks for the hostess card. Always appreciated.
