Halloween-a-thon on October 23-27
This is the Halloween-a-thon (ATART) on October 23-27 .
Sniisk is hosting. If you have questions, please put them in the thread. Answering PMs may take longer.
This a-thon will end when it's starting to look like Wednesday in the last timezone. However, don't take the given timelines too literally.
Because we are creating different sizes and forms of art here, it may be useful to inform others if your art piece differs from an ATC and is an inchie, a chunky or something else so we know the size.
Daily challenges (optional):
1. Pumpkins, sweets and other yummy things
2. Skeletons, bones
3. Really scary things
4. Bats & spiders
5. Your local special traditions
***************************
General a-thon info (for all ATARTs)
What IS an ATART?
It’s an All Types of ART marathon where you can create art, made over the same time in each time zone. This thread is going to be our crafting room.
HOW IT WORKS
Start creating art when it's time to start, then upload your lovely creations to your Athon gallery and post to the thread. Trading and chatting are going on all the time.
After all the trading is done move your creations OUT of the Athon Gallery and into their correct Galleries - 'Available ATCs' or 'Mail Art'
HOW TO ASK FOR A TRADE
When you find a piece of art you would like to trade, please SEND A PERSONAL MESSAGE (pm) to that person asking for a trade. Please DO NOT post requests for trades to the thread. It can get way too confusing.
Note: If you do make a trade, please be sure to send to your trade partner within two weeks. If you’re running late, communicate!
WANT TO COMPLIMENT AN ARTIST
And you will… remember you can click the You Rock button and leave it there. And we have "Like" and "Thank" buttons too.
HOW TO POST YOUR ART TO THE THREAD
From your atcsforall.com gallery:
It’s easiest to have two windows open.
1) Go to your gallery and open the image you want to insert.
2) Copy the row with [IMG] codes. (copy is ctrl+c and paste is ctrl+v in Windows)
3) Go to your post and paste the copies [IMG] code.
5) and then you're done.
Remember that images from the gallery can be small, medium or large. Find the word (or letters s m l) in the address and change it to 'small' or 's'.
NEW TO A-THONS? If you have any questions at all, feel free to pm me or post your questions to the thread. We have a lot of experienced art-a-thoners who are more than willing to help those of you new to this craziness.

Just bookmarking! I wish I could find my Halloween rubber stamps for this - they are MIA. Guess I have a few days to check around the house for them.

I do not know if I'll be able to play or not. My husband has a pre-op appointment on the 28th. He is going to have laser surgery to remove gallstones.
But I have been making some Halloween trade art and might get it scanned sometime before then. Right now I don't know where I put the atcs I was working on.

Oh, that sounds like my life
. I will have a surgery on 23rd (and pre operations on next Monday). Not the same but a surgery anyway. I hope to make some cards while I need to rest some days after that. That means I will be out of Internet some hours on Friday. But I'll be back after my operation.

Thank you for the invite! I'll try to make some free time around these dates. It would be super fun to make ATCs and trade again. I haven't felt like joining swaps lately, as the international mailing times have become somewhat of a real snail mail. All my swap cards since the Covid-19 outbreak have arrived super late, taking something between 6 and 10 weeks. But with private trades, I guess this is something that the trading partners can be aware of and only trade in case that they have the patience to wait longer than usual!
I am definitely inspired to create something fall and Halloween themed!
Sorry my inbox was full! I've been absent from the site for quite a while and hope to be back more frequently now.
Welcome to take a look at my
Instagram account!

Amapola, my trades have arrived almost too quickly sometimes. It has taken normally 1-2 weeks that is the same than before things got complicated, I think. Even economy mail (not air mail) travels fast. But I have noticed that the amount of missing envelopes has grown. At least mail inside Europe and to the US works. Australia and some parts of Asia hasn't received anything since March that makes me think the envelopes have been lost in the mail.

That is awful. I am wishing everyone is able to make trouble and stress free trades with no problems. Hearing this makes me a little nervous since I am signed up for a Secret Santa swap on Friendly Junk Journal People Facebook group. It will be a bigger packages and don't want them getting lost.

Thinking of both of you and hoping for a super speedy recovery once the procedure is complete.

Thinking of you also and hoping for a fast recovery and that you will be able to make a lot of art while you recover.
