Hi all! Just checking it to see how everyone is doing. I've had a lot going on and stupidly decided to take an online course to fulfill one of my annual professional goals. What was I thinking?

I thought I'd share a couple of pictures of my birds from today. It was quite warm today, and the birds enjoyed some free ranging time. They are one of the things that is getting me through this year. I find them incredibly amusing, and I can just pause and watch them for many minutes without stressing about what needs doing.

Jen - are these wild birds? They look like they might be part of the turkey family. I don't know my birds very well - but they are fascinating. Must be fun to watch!

They’re guinea fowl. We got them to help with tick control. They stay pretty wild. They are trainable, but not really domesticated like chickens. When they free range, they are mostly good about going back to their coop at night. They are usually pretty good about coming when I call (I give out freeze dried meal worms). I can touch a couple of them for a second, if they are busy eating their snack from my hand. They are super loud at times, but so much fun to have around. I’ve never had chickens or any other bird before.
