We got Christmas cards this month, too.
Here is what the USPS has posted on their website: ALERT: USPS IS EXPERIENCING UNPRECEDENTED VOLUME INCREASES AND LIMITED EMPLOYEE AVAILABILITY DUE TO THE IMPACTS OF COVID-19. WE APPRECIATE YOUR PATIENCE.
Even though I understand it, it's still frustrating!
I love to trade -- just ask: ATCs Availabe for Trade (also three tags in Mail Art for Trade)
My plans this week were derailed a bit. I will have cards in the mail today and will pray that they arrive on time. If not, more love for the host!
I'm in another swap where cards were mailed out in mid December and still have not been received. They're receiving holiday cards that were sent in early December (4, 5, 6) in mid January (14, 15, 16).
Yes, I hope our USPS will be put right. I know that they got a bunch of stuff dumped on them by UPS and FedEx because they limited the number of items they would take.
Oh, here's a good story. My friend's brother sent a USPS Priority 2 day envelope to her. He mailed it in mid December and paid over $20 for it. It travelled from Foster City to San Mateo to San Francisco and the next stop should have been here in Sacramento (a total distance of about 100 miles). Instead, the envelope went AWOL for a couple of weeks and then reappeared in Maryland for a few days and then ended up in Washington D.C. for another week or so. It finally arrived. The sad part is that it didn't have any stamps or postal marks from its travels.
Another friend's package or envelope left Sacramento and was headed to another location in CA. It was routed through Oklahoma and then to Hawaii and still hasn't been received.
Isn't that crazy Trina! I do not know if i love the people at the post office so much. But i do love my postman -gave him chocolates for christmas ....lol
