We drove down the road by my house to see COX working on power poles (once known as telephone poles). We had this wicked winter storm that lasted like 45 minutes but knocked over the lines.

AND IN OTHER NEWS..... oh see the next post it might be long.

In the past I have mentioned issues with the quality or continuity of care at my oncology office. Today I was told by my Surgeon/ Oncologist that she is leaving this practice. That made this office ask her to leave effective like Way sooner. She wont be doing my surgery in FEB, someone else that she trust from another office is taking on my case. She cried.

She was the best part about this office, the reason I stayed. She also said that my medical situation is too dire to wait to go to another office. She said the surgeon she recommends did surgery on her mother.
So my surgery is tentatively FEB 12th and I will see this new doctor next week.

Once my Doctor gets settled I will follow her to her new office for my future follow ups like my annuals.

Heather, so sorry the oncologist that you know and trust can't do your surgery - but glad if she trusts the one who will do your surgery. I wasn't overly close to my oncologist but I trusted her and I cried when she told me that she didn't need to see me any more and turned me over to my GP who I've only had for about 2 years and she's someone I've rarely seen. I'm lucky because my oncologist referred me to the ABC clinic (After Breast Cancer) and I have a wonderful nurse practitioner and her assistant who are part of this project. I've only met in person with the nurse practitioner once because of Covid but I liked her and she was very thorough and made me feel like she was really paying attention to my health and I had a phone interview with her assistant and she was really nice and again thorough. It's so important to have a doctor/nurse you can trust.

Ok so I updated while I had power. I also investigated more info on the power outages and internet outages. It was a series of issues. powerlines, blown transformers, a fast short winter storm.

New doctor called today. I am feeling confident that I will be fine.

My daughter is here watching Season 4 of Heroes, She is constantly having roommate troubles. I fear she wants to move back in . I guess she needs to. Her roommates are on drugs.

CQ5, sounds like you're in good hands - so glad! Definitely not good for your daughter to live with roommates who are on drugs ... perhaps she could move back "home" for just a little while....

Nanvan your coins did arrive today, and yes you did send enough postage for both ways, I will actually send you a Global stamp back in the mail with your swap for any future swap you may want to join.

I appreciate the hostess choice, I will pick one when I swap, so they can stay safe in your packaging.

I bet I forgot to send you extra postage too. I'll try to remember to enclose some next time I send you CRRR homers!

Oh good! Please DON'T send me a stamp - I can't use them when mailing from Canada and I'm more than happy to contribute a little extra from time to time as I know the hosts have extra expenses from envelopes and such. I'm just grateful to you for hosting such wonderful swaps!!

But Nanvan if I send you one Global stamp, you can include it in the envelope for a swap instead of cash for return postage. For any usa swap.
