Winged Art Hearts! - Due March 15th

Join us as we create Winged Art Hearts! This isn’t a Valentine Swap (though, Love-themed hearts are surely welcome.) I believe we can all use a little extra love/warmth/goodness in this day and age, so we’ll be making art that celebrates big hearts taking flight!

- Open theme and media: They can be hand-drawn/painted, collage, assemblage, cloth, clay, metal…artist’s choice. Sturdy paper or cardstock, cool materials, found objects, etc. We are looking for substantial pieces here (not thin or flimsy.) Art that took time and care to create. Art must contain a center heart and wings, and measure over 6-inches in at least one direction. Bulky, embellished and 3-D art are encouraged (as long as everything is firmly attached.) Dangles or hangers are welcome!

- Send in bubble envelope (which I will use to send your returns.) Include a large mailing label. Please sign your art and wrap each piece individually. The swap is holding firm at 3/3, so that each artist can put their best effort into each piece.

- Postage: Both US and International participants, send $ or PayPal equal to what it cost to send the art to me. Approximates are okay. If postage is a problem, please join anyway...we often have extra postage from participants that more-than-covers any extras.

A hostess gift is not required, but I sure do dig them. Extra postage is always appreciated. PM for my address when ready to mail to nannerland (in Costa Mesa.) Please Show and Tell your art in the thread (we love sneak peeks!) And be sure to leave iTrader and “you rocks.”

Communication: All are welcome to join in the swap. As the Host, I ask each participant to communicate a bit in the thread. Even if it is just to join the swap, and then to acknowledge that the art has been received. While they are good manners, iTrader and “You Rock’s” aren’t required. But letting the team know that you received your returns is something that I would like you to commit to, regardless. Even if you are not going to open your returns right away, please let us know that the art arrived safely. If this isn’t something you’re able to do, then respectfully please don’t join the swap at this time.
