We have yellow boxes to post your letters and various mail boxes to receive them. In the UK, you have a letterbox in the front door. This is a slot in the door. Some people have mail boxes as well, but that's a bit unusual.

The lady next door is a bit weird.
Once a week she purchases Lemon Meringue Pie for the local bears, and feeds them
(out behind her house) so she can watch and enjoy them.
She also has this mailbox (HONEST)
She LOVES bear

The USPS is delivering more packages every day.
If you are using home delivery to avoid going out, you may have already encountered a service termed "UPS Mail Innovations® ".
For this service, UPS begins the package mailing procedure, but then transfers the package to the U.S. Postal Service to complete the delivery.

Because the service is moving through two different companies (UPS and USPS), mail delivery is not day definite. UPS will track the package while they have the package, but once the postal service has the package, they’ll deliver within 3-7 days under normal operating conditions.

One must visit the U.S. Postal Service website for the current status and delivery updates. One must track with UPS to start, then track again with USPS. One needs to track with the original (UPS) tracking number if it starts with “927”. If not, one must use the Alternate Tracking Number found on ups.com in the Shipment Details section.

I've always been a letter writer but only had 2 or 3 people write me back with any regularity. Last summer, I joined #penpalooza through Twitter (penpalooza.com) in order to overcome COVID lockdown boredom, and now I have 27+ pen pals. I literally write a letter every day, and receive one letter per day on average. Snail mail rocks, especially now.

Your snow may eventually melt by then.

The storms are (mostly) missing us, but we have 28 degrees F below zero this morning.
And that is actual air temperature NOT wind chill.
It is almost too cold to breathe outside, so I guess I have to stay inside and create ATCs (darn!!)
