Spring 2021 ATART Thread March 5-March8
Time to play and trade or just come and chat and admire the eye candy!
We start when it's 12:01 March 5th SOMEWHERE (even if that's not your time zone. if others are playing, feel free to jump in!)
We end when it is no longer March 8th anywhere in the world, so if you're in one of those early time zones, but it's still March 8th in, say, California, keep playing, if you wish.
And all the time in between. If you can't play some days, that's fine. Join in when you can.
An ATART is all types of art: any medium, any subject.
Totally optional challenges are:
March 5: winged beings, real or imaginary
March 6: time watches, clocks, etc, but also consider different times of your life or times in history
March 7: elephants
March 8: purple lavender, plum, lilac, violet.....whatever purple shade you like
Remember, in the days before the athon, you can start making backgrounds or gathering supplies.
And here's some general "how-to" info (thanks to all the former atart hosts who have put this info together.)
This ATART is open to everyone and every kind of level and types of art.
What IS an ATART?
It's an All Types of ART marathon where you can create art, done over the same time in each time zone. This thread will be our craft room.
How it works:
Start creating art when it's time to start, then upload your lovely creations to your Athon Gallery and post to the thread. Trading and chatting are going on all the time as people are awake in different time zones.
How to ask for a trade:
When you see a piece of art you would like to trade, please SEND A PERSONAL MESSAGE (PM) to that person asking for a trade. Please DO NOT post requests for trades to the thread - it can get way too confusing and may be missed in all the chatter.
NOTE: when you DO make a trade, please be sure to send it to your trade partner within 2 weeks. If you're running late, communicate!
Want to compliment an artist:
And you will. . . remember you can click the You Rock button and leave your compliment/comment there.
HOW TO POST YOUR ART TO THE THREAD:
From your atcsforall.com gallery
It's easiest to have 2 windows open.
1) Go to your Gallery and right click on the picture you wish to post - this brings up a menu that includes 'Copy image"
2) Click on this
3) Go to your post in the thread and hit paste (Ctrl V)
4) This allows you to add 10 images to your post
OR
Thumbnails (only 5 of these can be attached to a single post)
1) at the bottom of a new post there is a 'Go advanced' button - click on this
2) you will be taken to a new window, which will still show anything you have already written. In the top line of commands there is a paper clip - put your cursor over this and it will come up with the label 'Attachments'
3) left click on the paper clip and a 2nd new window will appear.
4) click on ADD FILES at the top and then click BROWSE. This will allow you to browse your computer and choose the image you wish to upload.
5) A list of the images you have chosen appears at the bottom of your post.
NEW TO ATARTS?
If you have any questions at all, feel free to PM me or post your questions to the thread. We have a lot of experienced art-a-thoners who are more than willing to help those of you new to this craziness.
IMPORTANT: REMEMBER TO PUT YOUR USERNAME ON THE BACK OF YOUR CARDS. You can't get an iTrader if your trading partner doesn't know who you are.
Any questions or if I forgot anything, let me know!

Welcome, all!
I know we’re all juggling a lot at the moment, but if time permits playing or chatting, this is a great place.
