    There is a series of books by British author Justin Somper, about a set of twin children, Connor and Grace Tempest, called "Vampirates" that is about.......guess what????????
    I think there are 6 books in the series.
    I read the book, or perhaps I read more than one book, but that was a loooong time ago.
    You should look them up.
     
    Vampirates? Wowzer, I'll go look those up as well.

    Love those treasure maps. What fun. I should make a treasure map and see if I can find some of my treasures here. I guess, though, I'd have to know where the treasures are hidden first. Oops.
     
    You can make a treasure map with a "wrong" "X Marks the Spot" :eek:

    I think some pirates did that on purpose to keep their treasures hidden
    You could do it accidentally-on-purpose
    Besides, Hunting for Treasure is often more fun than finding it.

    This is a Multi-Media Swap.
    My samples are mixed media, stamped images, etc.
    You can do this!

    Or try drawing a treasure map.
    That is a very forgiving art project.!!!!
     
    I hope mine arrive on time. Good grief, I can't figure out when to mail things any more. We used to have a pirate festival here every so often. I don't know what happened to it.

    There are still 10 days until due date, and I am sure they will make the deadline.

    These were postmarked July 12th, so made slightly better transit time.

    These were the only pirates to make shore.
    The rest must be caught in a late summer squall.
    I will let you know as soon as they sail in.
     
    Well, I surely hope the cards arrive in time. I mailed a piece to Maryland in mid June and it never arrived (correctly addressed - i had a photo) and mailed a 2.0 piece 2 weeks ago and it just arrived. My pirates were dropped in the mail on July 5, possibly picked up on July 6 because of the holiday. I'll keep checking here.
