Hope everyone in the US had a nice Thanksgiving. I was away from home for several days but back now and looking forward to working on some cards. I mailed out about 6 envelopes Thanksgiving morning.

Will try to post pics of the sets that I finished.
I will wait a few days to see if any one else wants to make changes.
Since you have posted here and I am delaying the move I think it is ok if you want to send out starters.
so........if anyone else wants moved or things added or taken away from the list let me know if the next few days and I will get it on the new list I will send out.

I've gotten a bunch stacked up, but hope to devote some time this week to getting them out.

Over the last month or two I've received several sets that show people aren't checking the list for what someone is willing to work on (i.e. APCs, dissimilar, etc.) and what their dislikes are. This is just a friendly reminder to please check the list before sending sets.
Thanks.

It's always a good reminder. I don't know about anyone else, but I find the emoji indicators confusing. I'm thinking of making up a cheat sheet and taping it into the lid of my mailing out box. (Which is the old school version of a Google doc. My life is basically "there's probably an app for this, but I'm too tired to learn how to use it, so...")
I had a good RR session, so envies coming to Mrubyjean, Linda, Karr3ll, Katiea707, and ThouArtDelyrias.

Always wanting to keep things easy so I can change the emojis to words. I think can add more words since I split the lists.
Instead of an emoji we could use a word. Everyone would need to remember if the word is after a name the person will work on whatever it is.
For example, instead of
- Will work on any holiday any time, please remember some holidays are country specific, it would just be "holiday"
- Will work on shaped cards, it would just be "shaped"
- Will work on dissimilar cards, it would just be "dissimilar"
- Will work on APCs, it would just be "APCs"
- Will work on Coins, it would just be "coins"
I agree it would be much easier. Only reason we have emojis is I didn't have enough characters when all the players were on one list.
Unless anyone really objects to the change I will start working on it. It will take me a while to get it all changed over I think. Or I may be pleasantly surprised and it will go real quick! Either way it will be easier to use once it is changed.
I will say here, I think I have enough room, if I discover I don't as I start converting it I will stop.
As usual please feel free to state ideas, opinions or objections here or in a private PM to me.

I'd prefer words, but that's me and I'm not doing the work.

I would prefer either words, or even two letters would suffice. Dissimilar=DS APCs=AP Coins=CN Shaped=SH Holidays=HO ... or something like that.
I agree that the emoji is hard to tell apart (when it was just three it wasn't so difficult.)

2 letters is a good suggestion. I will try it with words first and if that is to many characters I will switch to 2 letters.

I think that words are better. Using two letters brings us back to remembering what the stand for.

I like the idea of having a short word as a reminder - just that much easier to remember what's what. But can certainly manage if that doesn't work

CraftyRaffe, HushedKitty, and kentuckydakota did not get them.
I am still working on the changes to what people will and will not work on.

The word idea sounds great! I know I have sent out a bunch of starters over the past several months, and I know some were on a playing card size that was too narrow (I didn't realize they were a different size) - but if there are some that keep getting passed around over and over you can send them back to me I will not be offended. I just thought I would put this out there. I would rather reuse them in a different way than have them become something no one wants to work on

Asher, I have a couple of your sets. I’m slowly getting caught up, so I’ll be sending them off to you soon.

I do like the narrower sets, and will gladly work on them. So count me in.

I agree that using words instead of emojis would be easier. I have my RR box set up with envelopes and a large post-it note for each person. I have the emoji part written out - coins OK, dissimilar OK, etc.
Also - I'd be fine with the narrower sets so if anyone is wondering where to send some, I'll take them.

I would prefer a word to an emoji. I always have a hard time remembering the emoji’s and what they mean. Thank you!

I’ve been doing a ton of catch up work lately. I got a huge chunk done. Envie’s went out to:
Karr3ll, Allegrae, Asher, BluSkyHare, CastleQueen5, TSMarie, and a homer to Plumhill2001
