I just want to say thank you to everyone who has sent me something and all your heartfelt letters. They have been arriving since the start of October and I am slowly but surely sending you all a personal thank you.

It is my 3rd fight with cancer - 2010 (double mastectomy and chemo), 2017 (recurrence in the right side scar - surgery, chemo and radiation) and 2021 (in the lymph nodes under the sternum - more chemo, surgery and radiation are not options).

Your letters and gifts have certainly helped keep my spirits up as this set of chemo is knocking me around quite severely - hopefully, it is doing the same to the cancer.

Thank you again to everyone and Carole for arranging this.

The chemo was deliberately extreme in the hope that it would put an end to the cancer - it was not as effective as hoped.

I see my oncologist for the next step on Tuesday Feb 1.
