I'm going to try magazine ads and magazines in general. Thanks for all the suggestions!

Sometimes it helps me just to cut words up and then put them in piles: names, nouns, adjectives, etc.
Here are mine:

I bought a book of sayings and proverbs at the Dollar Tree a while back. Looks like a good place to find words!
But I have another idea brewing in my brain. I'll see how that goes!

Nice set Cynthia! Great use of the stamps too!
I’m heading up to peruse for mine in just a bit.
What are you pondering Lisa?

I will post pics of my finished cards soon. I feel a little like I’m “cheating” because of my source text. I have a wonderful little book of poetry and prose regarding flowers, and it has made this easy and fun for me. Last time, I used some classics by Dickens, which also worked great.

I finished my cards, Marie, but my silly computer won't let me upload the pictures. Maybe you could post pics when you receive them? If it's not too inconvenient.
I'll try again later and see if it works.
Oh, and please sign me up!

I dont know if I told you that I mailed. I hope you pick your favorite for the hostess card.

Aw shucks Heather, thanks! I often do pick my favorite for a hostess card, unless I need to pass my favorite on in order to have enough ‘equivalent’ trades. Then I send my favorite out and pick another. It’s not fun unless everyone has fun.

To be honest, I tend to pick the card that might be chunky, for a hostess card. Mainly I do that to prevent mail damage. It happens too often.

Chunky cards are a problem with mailing, and the can damage the facing card if you put them in your albums too. I keep those in a art basket and rifle through it for inspiration or a pick- me - up.

I often choose a chunky card as my host card, just so it won’t have to go through the mail again. I also can’t resist picking my favorite, then sometimes feel guilty about it, and the artist who made it tells me to “go for it”. So I do! Also, I try to remember that not very often, but every now and then someone will designate the card the want to be the host card. I always look on the back because it could be very embarrassing to select my own card when they had another all picked out for me!

That’s a very good point Carol. It’s important to always check the back. I’ve had that happen where a player actually checked my profile and made a card based on it. How nice is that?? Of course it was my favorite!

Oh my goodness your cards are so beautiful
especially the one with the nopales (the cactus one) If you have never eaten nopales or tunas (the cactus part and fruit respectively) you are missing out!!! Tunas are my favorite fruit and nopales my favorite vegetable!

I’m trying to use the technique where you measure out your 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 rectangle on the paper and have to find your words right there in that section of text. It’s much more challenging, but also very satisfying.
