Favorite Things ATART athon Dec 2- 6
This is the official thread for the Favorite Things ATART athon from Dec. 2- 6, 2021
Note that I checked with Sniisk first since she has started athons at this time in the past and she said it sounds good, and that she would be happy to join in 
The prompts/suggestions will be based on the song My Favorite Things (raindrops on roses, whiskers on kittens, etc. ) plus some holiday and non-holiday favorites.
Start time is when it's Thursday morning, Dec. 2, 2021 in New Zealand and end time when itīs midnight, Mon. Dec. 6, 2021 in Finland
Over the weekend we will:
1) Create art of any type to show and tell: ATC’s, APCs, chunky pages, 4x4’s, 4x6’s, inchies, twinchies, bookmarks, charms, jewelry, art dolls, skinny pages, journal pages, tags, rolos, gothic arches, post cards, altered tins – or whatever type of art your heart calls you to create.
And we'll be collaging, sewing, painting, drawing, zentangles, digital altering, photographs, metal work, beading, sculpting, using postage stamps, creating Found Poetry, tea bag folding, transparencies... you name it!
2) Show what lovely creations you've made
3) Trade art - if you wish.
4) Chat (if you can only stop in to admire the art and chat sometimes, that’s absolutely okay!)
5) Feel free to ask questions in the thread
6) HAVE FUN

I’ve only participated in a few of these, and it’s been really fun. This one mentions so many different types of art to trade, I am very interested! I would probably do a few ATCs, but might want to concentrate on some 3D things too (small clay sculptures, little art dolls, etc.) Do these Mail Art items usually trade ok on these Athons?

CiCi - Any type of art you are willing to trade can be offered for trade during an ATART. I have found that some times people are hesitant to trade for dimensional art because they think what they have to offer isn't good enough in comparison. I think if you stress that you are willing to trade and repeat it often that you are willing to trade for paper art people will be less hesitant. Also when you ask for a trade you can remind the person that you are willing to trade your dimensional art. I would love to trade for dimensional art if you seen any of my paper art that strikes your fancy.

Thanks so much for your comments! I did plan to offer for say 3 ATCs for a dimensional piece, etc. I would want to be as “inclusive” as possible. This could really be fun!

Welcome, fundygirl! I'll be posting prompts and ideas, but you can make whatever you want and post pictures here and in the ATHON gallery. To me, that's the fun part - seeing what everyone is making and trading. It's as if we all got together for the weekend to work on projects at the same time.
The official start is 00:01 am New Zealand time NZDT on Thursday Dec 2, which is 6 am Eastern time Wednesday Dec 1.
I hoped to start prepping backgrounds in advance, but I think a better plan for me is to have my crafting space cleaned up and organized before the start.
Looking forward to it!
