Luann, I like your speedball creations.
I've been trying out this oblique pen with India ink and so far, I can't get my head around this funny pen shape. So I switched to a regular quill type and like it much more. It's great trying new things though.

I decided to use stamps and my ink pads (with a bit of highlight on the flowers) for my art cards. I enjoyed it as I don't use stamps in my art work. Will send on Monday.

I tried several different things using my pours as backgrounds: drawing on top with alcohol markers and metallic gelly roll pens (the flower is a new stencil I used for the first time) and shading circles with acrylic paint. My cards will go in tomorrow's mail:
    Attachment 228527 Stenciled flower
    Attachment 228528 Doodled waves
    Attachment 228529 Shaded circles
    Attachment 228530 Star spirals

People on YouTube are doing some gorgeous acrylic pour background pieces with acrylic paint markers, but I am on new art supply probation until further notice and need to use what I have.

I am finished, just need the address.

Used some acrylic and gouache I got for Christmas. Also tried a new technique using washi tape in a mixed media piece and tried my hand at some psychedelic art.

So I switched my focus..lol! I have saved spent tea bags for so long. It's about time I experimented with painting on them. Having fun with this.

Mapletree and wildholly - I PM'd my address to you. I can't wait to see your creations.
Mapletree - where is the mountain card based on?
12 days until the due date - How is everyone's experimenting going?

I've been lax on opening my mail this week so here is the catch up of what all I have received:
ThouArtDelyrias - the bright colors are wonderful, especially when we've had a cloudy couple days here
jo.on.the.go - your metallics are fantastic!!
Allegrae - I've never heard of rust effect paint but it looks great! Did you like how it worked?
LuAnnP - I think both of your new media experiments turned out nice, especially how the black ink blurred out into the blue and purple colors.
fundygirl - Your alcohol inks look beautiful. Again, I love the bright colors!

I had bought it awhile ago, and it had dried out a little, so it was both pasty and crumbly. I do like the weathered look it gives.

The mountain card is inspired by Monument Valley in Arizona.

Returning after a weekend at my parents celebrating a late Christmas. My oldest has COVID and my youngest had a stomach bug so neither of my kids were there. It was good to see all my nephews and get caught up.

I have received something new artwork from: Chimerix, mapletree and sarat
One week until the deadline. Hope the experimenting has gone well and you've enjoyed something new!

ATC's went in the mail today. Here's a sneak peek - I made the background with some new Lindy's Magical powder along with scribbles and collage.

yesterday I received envelopes from Carol and wildholly.
Wildholly- I don't understand the note you included so check your inbox - I'll message you

5 days left before the due date. On Monday I experimented with die cuts and 3-D texture folders on the sizzix machin that I got for Christmas.

I've become somewhat addicted to the 3-D texture folders since I got my sizzix machine in Dec! Love adding texture now.

Somnia - your cards arrived today! You are on new art supply probation -- that is so funny -- but so true for me as well. I have so much supply...I should probably put myself on art supply probation also

fundygirl - what is your favorite 3-D texture folder? I only have 3-4 but I can tell that number will be growing!

Holding my breath that my cards arrive on time - if not, feel free to swap out and keep mine as Host gifts when they finally arrive.

International mail is ridiculous at the moment - I received a swag of letters today with postmarks ranging from 11 Nov to 12 Jan. How can they all be in the same delivery?!?!
    Now hosting :

Yesterday and Saturday I received cards from LoriH and Luckycat479. I know that the last 3 sets are en-route so I will give it another couple days.

Donnacr - My mailbox was filled with envelopes from Australia today, including your Try Something New!

I'm waiting on one more set which I expect to arrive tomorrow. With the weather, our mail will likely arrive in the late afternoon so I will try to swap tomorrow night.
